I’ve been seeing a lot of people holding a space for them in queer media 💚
i’ve seen it, yeah 💚
one year of drawing these guys and i love them even more now than before
Remus: *sees Sirius wearing fancy clothes*
Remus, sad: I see you have a date. Who's the lucky person?
Sirius: …
Sirius: I forgot to ask you, didn't I?
Sirius was always distracting Remus from his various activities by kissing him. Remus grumbled, but he wasn't really angry, and he put all his affection into the kiss.
wolfstar and the beautiful tragic desperation they carry with them
Why does it bother Wolfstar fans so much that Remus Lupin is canonically heterosexual, and that he only ever fell in love once in his life—with a woman—and that this is confirmed both in-text and by the author? The only person he had a serious, committed relationship with and a genuine emotional bond with, regardless of how complicated or flawed it was, was Tonks, who was a woman.
And they’re completely fine with imagining that a man can be attracted to women. So what is the issue here? Honestly, what is your problem with women? Wolfstar fans, in my view, often have a very high level of internalised misogyny, because they are completely unable to accept the idea of male bisexuality in a balanced way—that a man can be attracted to women as well as men—and at the same time they constantly erase women from the narrative or reduce them to reproductive roles.
And I think that’s something worth seriously reflecting on, because it comes across as pretty unpleasant. I’m not a particular fan of Remadora either, but the reality is that Lupin was in love with Tonks, she was his only stable relationship, his only real romantic connection in his life, and Tonks was a woman. And that’s canon, you don’t get to erase that just because it doesn’t fit a preferred ship.
I saw this and I couldn’t handle my self
