There is one moment in 6x11 that still haunts me. After Clarke tells Bellamy that he saved her, he hesitates, and the ACTING is incredible. Just look at this:

As the Bellarke Theme swells in the background, his eyes are so damn soft, and then he opens his mouth to say something. If you watch the clip you can even hear a small sound that reminds me of when words die in your throat — when you really want to say something yet can’t spit it out for whatever reason. 

Then there’s this:

The way he squeezes his eyes shut and moves his jaw. He’s biting back the words and he looks so damn guilty. This is right before he chooses to say “So how do we save everyone that I left behind?” 

My main guess: Bellamy was about to confess here, but he chose not to because he feels guilty for leaving the rest of his people behind.
