"Upper Moons?" Future Gohan repeated. This was the first he heard of them, did that mean they were aliens from a planet's moons? The way she talked about them, it seemed so normal like how Gohan talked about the Androids, it became part of his life.

"Then there's a good chance I'll meet one on my own one day, how should I fight them?" he asked her. She seemed experienced with dealing with them, but it was unlikely the timing would be as great as their meeting just now.

"I see, well that makes you extended family to me too then, uh," Future Gohan replied, then realised he never asked for her name. It was nice though, he was glad she was happily living with the others he knew. Though there were apparently still threats to their world even after the Androids

"By the way, that being you fought, are there more of them?" he asked Nezuko seriously. As a wanderer on Earth, there was a chance he might cross paths with one of them in the future too.

The same man who has been pining over her mother for a while. When this Gohan mentioned he is from an alternate dimension, it made sense now. If the Gohan she knew had a missing limb, the Z warriors would have hunted who was responsible by now.

While he could certainly understand the feeling of loss Gohan himself must've experienced that day, he couldn't imagine the pain that world's Bulma must've been in. Her only son, dead because he got ahead of himself and bit off more than he could ever hope to chew, it was far from something he wished to envision. That day seemed determined to weigh heavily on both the warrior's minds, Gohan's more than his own.

At the very least, their guilt could be met with some measure of alleviation by seeing the other alive. Even if it wasn't their counterpart, at least they were still living, breathing, talking. This wasn't the time to lament what they couldn't have done, they had to keep moving forward.

There's a small smile on his face as his mentor asks him how strong he had gotten, and his eyes light up a little. He had always hoped Gohan was watching him in otherworld, but now he actually knew that was the case. He could show him something that was never possible before Gohan ran off to deal with the androids on his own. A past failure could be met with some wish fulfillment at being able to do so right here and now. He could only hope that this conversation would help this version of Gohan somewhat as well.

"I've actually attained Super Saiyan, believe it or not. Not only that, but levels above Super Saiyan as well."

Alternate Hope [Future Gohan & Future Trunks] - Part 2

“It’s alright, I guess sacrifices had to be made for us to get to where we are now,” Future Gohan spoke. He had long accepted his past and the potential future as a time traveller, but he was at least grateful to the multiverse, for it allowed him to meet an alternate Trunks like this, to help with his own sense of closure.

“I see, that’s really impressive Trunks,” he replied with a smile at Trunks becoming a Super Saiyan, the possible trigger for that final push aside. Looks like the training his other self had paid off in the end, like he would have hoped for his own Trunks.

“Levels above Super Saiyan?” the older hybrid Saiyan repeated, eyes widening a little in surprise, now he was curious. “Can you show me?”
