Insert-Rich-Family-Name Book 2 👀🔪🔪
Unspeakable tragedy has unveiled your family's darkest secrets. Some rest in eternal silence, while others are trapped behind bars, accused of unimaginable crimes.
You've already played judge and jury for an unexpected murderer, but can you salvage your grandfather's fragile legacy? Will you ascend to lead the company and claim that vacant seat to safeguard your family's fortune, or is it time to cash in your shares and disappear?
As three potential investors come knocking for a merger, tread carefully; trust is a luxury you can't afford.
And in a world where danger lurks behind every corner, one question haunts your every step...
Who wants you dead?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know this game wasn't a reader's favorite, but I've been missing the MC from Insert-Rich-Family-Name, so I'll be back to writing it soon.
I enjoyed writing book 1, I love those characters and I know I will enjoy writing book 2 as well. This book was my first self-published game and I take pride in that even though it didn't do too well financially in comparison to the games I publish with Hosted Games. 😅
All that to say, I'll try to have at least the prologue of book 2 drafted in October, so join the Patreon for more family drama, more bodyguard romance, and all the other love interests. 😀
And yes, this will be the title, the cover, and the blurb for book 2.
For context about the cover: (Spoilers)
-The blond guy is Marcus Fargos. One of the people who sent MC a letter at the end of book 1. Marcus is the heir of the Tabloids who keep saying bad things about MC's family. So Marcus is Bob/Vera's boss.
-The blond lady is Marisca Blackstone. She may be a damsel in distress or not. She's the diamond princess because her family owns several diamond mines in South Africa.
-The guy with the drink is Kev's Brother. That character is gender customizable in the game, so for my MC, I went with the male version, Raine Montecristo.
Some questions and answers.
Book 2 will focus on whether MC wants to save the family business or sell it and walk away.
Saving it will mean choosing one of the 3 investors to merge with.
Selling it will also be one of those investors to sell it to, but MC will need the family's approval to sell because everyone has a share in the company.
Yes, the 3 investors will be romanceable even though you already have a love interest from book 1. They will mainly be hookups, but hookups that will stick around throughout the whole game.
Of course, more murders and mysteries.
More romance. I want to develop the romance with the love interests from book 1.
More steamy scenes.
More interaction with the remaining family members. So yes, Benny will come back with his new husband.
There will be a lot more, but that's all I can think of for now. 💕
Seduction 🔥
POV, You hooked up with the best friend of your ex, and it's time to deal with the consequences.
👀 It's Coming!
Everyone else is headcanoning the ex as the parent meanwhile my MC's kiddo looks like a tiny version of Wyatt because I like to think they had a one night stand that neither seem to be able to piece together.
lol 👀🔥
This is for you and every and every Green Romancer who made that headcanon. 💕 Will definitely explore that au for my Patreons.
My MC Alice At The Lobby
A few minutes later, you hear the elevator's distinctive ding, and out steps Wyatt Green. His blond hair is neatly combed back, and his dress shoes create a resonating rhythm on the lobby tiles.
He's wearing a red dress pants that perfectly complement his white shirt, and a Rolex watch graces his wrist, enhancing his air of sophistication.
The sight of him causes your heart to sink. Could it really be him?
Seven long years have passed since that incident, and now you unexpectedly find yourself in his presence once again.
The likelihood of him recognizing you is incredibly low. When his photo popped up on the company website, you could barely connect it to the person before you. The events of that night are a blur, and you're certain he has no memory of it. Were it not for the outcome – a tiny bundle of joy named Nugget, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Wyatt Green, now your boss – you might have even forgotten about it.
Wyatt approaches with a warm smile, extending his hand in a welcoming gesture.
"Mrs. Cruz, I'm glad you could make it."
Inside, you're taken aback by how unaware he is of your identity.
"Sorry, I'm late," you find yourself saying, instinctively adjusting the glasses resting on your nose.
"Oh, it's alright. We were just about to start the meeting, which means you're right on time. Please, follow me."
As you follow Wyatt to the conference room, a rush of memories from a significant night floods your thoughts. It's like flipping through an old photo album, each image carrying a piece of emotion. That night – prom night – holds a special place in your memory, a whirlwind of emotions and chance connections.
Prom night began with a heated argument with your ex, Barlow. The tension was palpable, emotions running high. Seeking an escape, you found yourself in a nearby bar, surrounded by strangers and the comforting clinks of glasses. And there, in the shadows of the unfamiliar setting, you met Wyatt – a cute blond stranger who happened to be passing through your hometown and who was shouldering his own burdens.
He bought you a drink, and a conversation started. He explained that he had just dropped out of law school and was feeling angry about his mother's unexpected decision to leave his father for a business partner. There was no doubt that his world was crumbling, but now that you think of it, maybe he was a little drunk too.
You, on the other hand, barely touched your drink – too angry at Barlow and too excited about the attention from the cute stranger.
As the conversation flowed, Wyatt's words created a swirl of emotions within you. His easy smile and his genuine interest in your thoughts and stories made you feel wanted, needed, and deeply desired. It was as though he saw a side of you that had been hidden away, eclipsed by the turmoil of everyday life, and constant fight with your father.
Later that night, you found yourself following Wyatt to his hotel room, and as one thing led to another, you spent the night together. It only took a few minutes for the boundaries that separated the two of you to fade into obscurity. That night unfolded like a dream, with each touch and whispered word deepening the connection – an unforgettable night that felt almost magical.
Fortunately, the next morning, Wyatt was still asleep, and you made your exit quietly, slipping away before he had the chance to wake up.
You thought it was the end of that short escapade – one night, one stranger, never to be seen again. However, four weeks later, reality took an unexpected turn. Wyatt had left you a gift, a little Nugget left behind.
"You're going to love it here," Wyatt's voice pulls you back to the present, a gentle reminder of reality. "Have you had a chance to take a tour of Lemontown yet?"
"No," you respond with a slight shake of your head. "We... I... We just moved in and barely had time to unpack."
"We?" Wyatt's eyebrow arches as he looks at you. "Are you here with your family?"
"I..." you pause, your thoughts catching. "Yes, umm... Just me and my daughter."
Inside your mind, a voice screams, our daughter, but you stifle it before it escapes your lips.
"Aww, that's so sweet. How old is she?"
You need to shift the conversation quickly. If he keeps questioning you about Carla, who knows what awkward words your mind might produce.
"She's six," you reply, offering a smile.
Wyatt nods, his gaze softening. "She must keep you busy."
"Yeah, she does," you agree, grateful for the opportunity to move on from the conversation.
Continuing to walk by his side, you can feel warmth spreading within you as you recall that night seven years ago – the hotel room, the sensation of being so close to him, the lingering feelings of intimacy that filled the air. And now... he doesn't even know of your existence, that he fathered a child with you that night.
Does he truly not remember you?
At the entrance of the conference room, you halt and turn to fully face him.
"Is everything okay?" Wyatt asks, his expression tinged with concern.
"Wyatt... I..." you pause, gathering your thoughts. "You know that I'm Alice... Alice from..."
"Hey! You're the new Marketing Strategist, right? Welcome aboard, I'm Olivier!"
A tall, lean guy appears at the door and introduces himself, leaving you unsure whether to be relieved by the interruption or somewhat annoyed. Regardless, Wyatt gives you a smile, enters the room, and you follow suit, ready to meet your new team.
For now, maybe it's best not to reveal your true identity. Not until you're sure it's worth it.
