Is severe procrastination a disability? Asking for a friend...
Today on “How Long Can I Put This Assignment Off Before It Becomes a Problem”
SPOILER ALERT: It becomes a problem...
We’ve had 12 weeks for this group project that is due in 4 weeks, but we are just now meeting to start it. Gotta love college...
PSA
There’s this site called canva.com and it has a bunch of FREE templates for things like resumes, flyers, etc. I highly recommend to anyone, but especially college students who are trying to find a frikken job so they can eat. Resumes are the first step in getting the job! Make yours stand out!
Every weekend I say that I’ll do all my homework Friday night and Saturday morning that way I can relax all weekend. Every weekend I end up saving my homework for Sunday night at 8 pm...
When you’ve put off homework for a week:
fuck...
College is just a constant cycle of “I’m so stressed, I need to quit wasting time on Netflix!” and “I’ve been so stressed lately, I deserve to relax and watch Netflix #selfcare”
To do college you have to have a minimum of 1 mental breakdown a day. You’re doing wrong if you don’t meet this quota.
English professor: You have 3 weeks to write this report, I suggest starting now. It’s not something you can write in a week.
Me: We’ll see about that. You underestimate my powers.
Things nobody tells you about college:
1. There is SO much reading.
2. Most professors just read from slides
3. Online classes are saviors if you find yourself struggling to make time for things like a job.
4. You WILL feel like your not doing the right thing with your life at least once a week.
5. It is harder than you might think to make friends.
6. Contrary to high school practices, you will actually need to study and understand concepts.
7. FOOD IS EXPENSIVE!
8. You’ll probably miss you mom/family at least once a day.
9. It’s okay to feel stuck, it’s just important that you get yourself unstuck eventually.
10. It is too easy to waste time and effort in classes, so discuss your degree plan with your adviser THOROUGHLY at least once a semester.
Rule # 1 in college:
Act like you know what you’re doing and you’re halfway there.
The transition from high school life to college life really fucked me up...
Nobody tells you how hard college really is and that’s not fair.
