ccminkyung:
“Was that today?” she asked, knowing full well the answer was yes. “We can go, but it can’t be now,” she said, removing the helmet fully and shaking out her hair. “As you can see, I’m in need of a shower. We can go after that, though. I’ll be quick about it. Unless you want to join me?” she gave a wink to her card, always interested in Mijoo’s reaction to these sorts of things.
mijoo’s pout only deepens at the denial. like a spoiled child, the card’s tantrum flares up in an instant, manifesting with the gritting of her teeth and a low growl that spills from her lips. “if you’d planned ahead,” mijoo snarls in a low voice, “you would’ve already showered before i got here. but no--” she lifts a hand and points angrily at the lab helmet. “you and your machines get higher priority than me. i absolutely hate that, you know?” mijoo exhales on a frustrated sigh. minkyung was absorbed with her work and mijoo knew that but sometimes, just sometimes, she wished her owner were a little less dedicated to the cause.
“fine. go and shower. i’ll be waiting by the front door for you.” the card gets to her feet with a quick, agile move-- only to pause as a reluctant curiosity surfaces in her eyes. “what is that anyway? what you’re working on.” she flips her long, blonde hair over her shoulder and then crosses her arms stubbornly across her chest. “is it for the-- them?” the heroes. distaste boils in mijoo’s expression as she asks, the girl hating that she wants to know, even if that means getting further involved with the ones she really can’t stand.
