It's basically an AU where God has abandoned his creations, both humans and angels alike. Angels unsatisfied with such a revelation attempted to take matters into their own hands, thinking if they somehow 'fixed' humanity then their father would return. Heaven was disguised as paradise but hid a horrifying secret. Lucifer while loyal to the cause had fallen in love with a human woman named Lilith. With his new faith in humanity restored, Lucifer tried to stop heaven, but was defeated.

Hell was created to stop anyone or anything from trying to achieve their goal. The Reconstruction of Humanity.

Millennia come and go, but the angels are no closer to finding their perfect template for humanity, thus they begin their experimentation with human souls. Religion has shaped its way into human culture, hell is now meant for sinners and heaven for winners.

Charlie wanting to redeem her people has no idea that she's pushing them into heaven's reconstruction program. Lucifer carries this secret, but revealing it also means confessing the sins he's committed.

It's still in the works! But so far, I'm still trying to get the timeline right.
