PRINCESS ;

          Afraid that she would make fun of him, she just gave him an excited nod to answer his question, biting the insides of her cheeks to stop herself from gushing over comics. She didn’t want to look pathetic so she kept that smile on her face although it just made her look like in pain. “Y-yeah, Meowth d-d-died. I-I thought sh-she was just being lazy th-that’s why she doesn’t want t-to eat. Turns out she was sick.” A heavy sighed blew out of her lips as she tried to washed the guilt away.

             Cody gave out a simple nod after she had explained her pet’s death. “Oh, okay---” He ran his tongue along his lips. “Maybe you could get ‘nother one?”

PRINCESS ;

         She let out a little gasp when the cat sat on her lap. Knowing it wanted more of her attention, she lifted it off her lap then gave it a gentle hug while rubbing a hug. It warranted a lick on her face so  and made her giggle. Her face brightened when she got the reference. “O-oh. L-like….like Kitty Pride? L-like X-Men K-Kitty Pride. Y-you know, K-Katheirne Pride. Cat. K-Kitty cat. K-Kitty Pride” She said excitedly then looked down because she had rambled and stuttered which  she knew some people find annoying. She put down Pride back to her lap but it climb up to licked her face again. “Y-Yeah. Pride m-must really like me. She petted her stomach that made Pride rolled over. "I-I used to have a cat before. I-I miss playing with c-cats.” She smiled down at Pride but she looked a bit sad.

           “Oh.” He really sounded genuinely surprised. “You read comics?” He asked, a small smile tugging on the edge of his lips. “But yeah---I named her after Kitty Pride.” He looked away and smiled even more to himself. He looked down at his hands again, because he knew if he would look at PJ he might melt in the inside. “What happened to you Cat, did it die?”

PRINCESS ;

           She looked at the residence of Aether house from a far. They looked a little distressed but it didn’t look like they were looking for a particular reason so she sighed, not quite in relief but she was safe at the moment. “I-It’s, uhm,” she trailed off so she could for a lie. She sat down as well, her back against the tree as she was facing Cody. “Uhm, I-I was…” She was not able to finish what she was saying as she finally noticed that Cody was holding a cat. Her face brightened up before reaching for the cat and rubbed its chin, knowing that cat in general likes it. After a few more strokes, the bright smile on her face turned a little sat as she remembered her own cat Meowth who passed away a few months ago. She sighed heavily before retreating her hand back and let it rest on her knees as she curled it up. Her fingers traced the faint scars on her knees.

              In the end Cody didn’t much care for her answer since he’s got distracted by her. His head tilted to the side and then he observed her carefully with his artist eyes, he memorized every features she’s got, every detail of her. He looked at her in a way that showed he knew he was looking at something he couldn’t have. A small smile appeared on his face once she began to play with Pride, and then it disappeared almost immediately when he had noticed the frown on her face. He let Pride sit on his lap for a moment and then the cat wanting more affection, made her way to PJ’s lap instead. He looked at hands then, he had taken note of how she was tracing what seemed like scars on her knees with his fingers. He suddenly wanted to take her hand to know whether they were truly delicate like they look like. Cody always had sudden wants when it came to her and his stomach ached because he knew he couldn’t. So he just kept his hands were they were and bottled up everything that he felt. He let out a sigh, and said “Her name is Pride.” He said and then he looked down at his lap and then he let his hand rest on the grass. “She likes you.” He then clenched his hands into fist, taking leaves of grass as he did. That makes the two of us, he had thought, but he kept a straight face and kept everything to himself.

PRINCESS ;

          “D-don’t call me that.” She said in a whisper only she could hear because there was no point in telling him off to stop because he wouldn’t. The first thing she wanted to do when Cody called her by that nickname was to cover her legs but she could only reached her thighs unless she would curled up which would make her looked even more stupid than what he probably thought of her. He had given her nicknames related to her stick long legs, her moles that visually pollutes her tanned skin, her messy blonde hair and other parts of her body that made her wish to disappear. She just shook her head and looked away from him then back to the house. “Uh. I-it-it’s nothing.” She saw some of the students go out so she ran towards the nearest tree to hide.

              He observed her silently like he always did, he pressed his lips against each other and then he let out a breath. He concluded---by looking at her with scrutiny---that she seemed to be guilty of something, it probably had something to do about Aether, but he had shut his mouth about it because it really wasn’t his business. He had crouched down and then picked up his cat, holding her close to him. He then followed Princess behind the tree and then he had sat down on the ground, both of his legs crossed with each other. “If it’s fucking nothing, why are you acting like that?” He then gestured his hand all over her.

ASHTON ;

             He rolled his eyes and faced him. “Well, that’s your fucking job. Talk to Bridget, then. Talk to me when you’re done being a dick.” He told him before starting to walk away again.

          “Bye then, Austin.” He shrugged and began to walk to his next class.

PRINCESS ;

        Sitting in front of the Aether house, PJ was looking quite miserable. Normally, she would be in her dorm being locked in her roo while playing with her XBox. It made a loud pop then smoke came out of it before everything shut down. She came out to look for help on how to take the plug from the wall but she was too bummed she forgot. “I-it’s not like I c-can’t live with-without it.” She sighed before she heard a collective groan from people of the Aether house after they lose electricity. “O-oh.”

         He was chasing after his cat because the devil inside of her was unleashed, the cat stopped on the hill near Aether and he had spotted Princess, he knew her name, but he liked to call her Paige. The cat circled along her ankle and then Cody began to ogle on those nice legs she’s got, of course in an artistic point of view, not in a perverted way. He kept a good personal distance between them two and then he let out a breath. “Oh hey there, Mommy Long Legs. What’s up with the ‘uh-oh’?”

ASHTON ;

              When the bell rang, Ashton stood up while sliding his arm through his backpack till the strap settled on his shoulder. When he felt an hand touched his arm, he looked back and saw the duotone eyed guy from his house. He rolled his eyes when he got it wrong. “You know what, Cody, if you are going to pretend you don’t know my actual real name, might as well fuck off.” He said with more exhaustion than annoyance. “And it’s Friday, of course, I’m throwing a party. Well, it’s really Bridget who organized it.”

          “So you’re Austin?” He asked just to annoy the taller male even further.  “Anyway, am I going to fucking play the music, Bridget didn’t talk to me ‘bout it.”

ASHTON ;

          It was not like he was annoyed or anything. Ashton was just a little surprised when he was pulled out from his concentration. The glare was quick and was made out of the sudden distraction. This subject was pretty pointless but he didn’t want to fail. Though he was grateful, he tried his best to set his focus back tot he discussion and just casually ran his fingers through his dark mane though whatever was on his hair remained tangled into it.

          After he had pointed out that something was in the other’s hair, he remained silent. It wasn’t as if he had something more to say. He didn’t. In fact Cody never knew what to say in whatever situation he was in. He was the guy whose gotten the worst conversation skills. If there was a list of poor conversationalist Cody might the first on it. Being a guy who really had nothing better to say or nothing to say at all in general had its benefits. He couldn’t stir up some trouble in class. His teachers tend to overlook him, they only really took notice of him when he had aced a test or quiz or anything seatwork (and that rarely ever happens), what most likely happened with Cody was he failed classes. He was never interested in anything, not even himself. Anyhow, he leaned back and stared at the back of Ashton’s head because whatever it was on his hair was still there. He chose not to point it out anymore.

              When the bell went off, Cody stood up and picked up his notebook (aside from the pencil that was the only thing he brought with him), what do you really expect from him? Once he was already outside of the class room, something had occurred in that brain of his. So he had turned around and searched for the giant they called Head of House. “Hey, Anthony---” He moved towards the raven haired guy and held him on the arm to catch his attention, “---Are you throwing a party tonight?”

      Cody had been tapping the head of his pencil on his table. The beat was Kanye by the Chainsmokers, leave it to him to manage to make music by simply tapping an object on a flat surface. Battle Strategy wasn’t really his strong suit, he couldn’t push himself to actually pay attention to the teacher, it wasn’t like this course would get him to college. Putting his attention to the person in front of him he couldn’t help but stare at something on their hair, “You’ve got some fucking thing on your hair.” He whispered to them.
