warlord-maxwell:
“No problem. Good luck with your search.”
“Thanks. I’ll need it.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Still worth a shot. Maybe someone can point you in the right direction.”
“I guess you’re right. Thanks.”
warlord-maxwell:
“You never know. Ask around the clan. Someone’s bound to still be connected to Chicago.”
“Maybe. I heard my birth mother isn’t really active with the goblins here anymore. As for my birth father who knows. I don’t know a thing about him.”
warlord-maxwell:
“You never know, there’s not a ton of goblins old enough to be your parents. If you have a name I’m sure you can find them.”
“I don’t have a name... my adopted parents kept that pretty well hidden. All I have are some letters my birth mother sent me on a couple birthdays. It’s not much to go on, and just the knowledge my birth mother here from Chicago and still has ties there. It’s not really anything I can go on... ”
warlord-maxwell:
“Actually most of the people from around here originated in Chicago. A lot of the goblins followed my wife and I here.”
“Really? Damn. Will be hard to find my birth parents then. If they are even alive.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Huh, weird. I lived in Chicago for a while. Crescent City isn’t as nice as Chicago, but at least it’s safer here.”
“Oh yeah? Small world. My mom adopted me out to Chicago because it was where she was once from too. So I was told anyways. Yeah, at the very least everything seems more contained.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Well, welcome. Hope you’re adjusting to being here well.”
“Kind of. I miss Chicago and the big city, but I was adopted out of Crescent City so... It’s nice to see where I came from.”
warlord-maxwell:
“I do. I figured, you look new.”
“I’ve only been here a couple weeks.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Because I work with them. And I sort of run this city.”
“Wait... you run the city? I’m sorry, I didn’t know. I haven’t been here very long.”
warlord-maxwell:
“And how things are now.”
“And how would you know?”
warlord-maxwell:
“Trust me, I know. And I also know they are more bark than bite.”
“Maybe that’s the way it was when you were young.”
warlord-maxwell:
I doubt the goblins would be capable of that.”
“You have no idea what they are capable of.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Like who?”
“That's confidential. They’d kill me if I told you.”
warlord-maxwell:
“Just wonderful. Then who is in charge?”
“Someone else for now.”
warlord-maxwell:
“…Well that’s great.”
“And I am not sure when he will be back.”
“Though I don’t want to burst your bubble and tell you hasn’t been here for a week and a half.”
warlord-maxwell:
“That is unnecessary. I’m fine.”
“I insist. It’ll give me piece of mind. Who knows, maybe Vincent will be on his way.”
