immortalgoblin:
“Thank you, Max. Thank you so much.”
“Hey, it’s no problem.”
immortalgoblin:
“Okay… I am trusting you, Max. Protect my baby.”
“I promise, Katya. No one is going to lay a hand on her.”
immortalgoblin:
“And just make sure that no matter what happens, Cecelia is safe. Don’t them do to her what they did to me or what they did to Elijah.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let them touch her.”
immortalgoblin:
“I am not going to deter you am I? Fine. Just be careful negotiating with Vincent and all them. They are as stubborn as mules.”
“I’ll try, but if they get out of hand, I’ll shut them down.”
immortalgoblin:
“You didn’t even know you had a second daughter until twenty minutes ago. It’s not your problem.”
“Well it is now.”
immortalgoblin:
“…What the hell are you talking about? Of course you were her father. You are her biological father.”
“Then this is both of our problem, not just yours.”
immortalgoblin:
“Max, it’s not your job to fix this. It should be mine. I’m her… birth mother. I know she’s stuck in this job now, but… maybe I can make it easier for her. I don’t know if I’m strong enough to see her.”
“Katya I can help you, even if I wasn’t her father I would still want to. If you don’t want to see her, that’s okay. I can send her back home without you needing to confront her.”
immortalgoblin:
“If she has my job now, there is no backing out. I mean, you had to kill Felix just to set me free. —I… I don’t know if I can see her. She shouldn’t want to see me.”
“I’ll work with Vincent, or else I’m not above killing him too. She said she was here looking for her mother. She didn’t have any information, just that you lived here.”
immortalgoblin:
“Yeah, and I didn’t think that it would happen. I didn’t think she was going to come back from Chicago and do this. I have spent all of the almost twenty years of her life trying to protect her and keep her away. I failed, okay?”
“No, Katya... Don’t see this as a fail. She’s still safe, and we can send her back. There was another reason bringing her back... She’s looking for you.”
immortalgoblin:
“I did figure something out. I sent her to a goblin family I had connections with in Chicago and I was able to keep tabs on her.”
“But she took your old job.”
immortalgoblin:
“I thought about telling you. But it was during a time you were really busy with the city. And the be honest, after everything with Elijah and Anna… I wasn’t really sure how to approach you about the fact I was having a kid. So, I did what I felt was the best course of action.”
“You could have come to me, despite everything with the city. We could have figured something out.”
immortalgoblin:
“… She’s my daughter. By blood anyways.”
“...But why didn’t you say something?”
immortalgoblin:
“Because… I knew once she was born, her mother couldn’t guarantee her safety or a good life. I couldn’t guarantee her safety or a good life. So… the day after she was born, I gave her to the family I picked out for her and they took her to Chicago, where I knew she’d be well taken care of. She wasn’t supposed to come back…”
“Katya... Is she your daughter?”
immortalgoblin:
“Because… I’m the one who sent her to Chicago from Crescent City after she was born.”  Â
“...Why?”
immortalgoblin:
“If it’s who I think it is, her name is Cecelia. I’ve known her since she was a baby.”
“If she’s supposed to be in Chicago, how do you know her?”
immortalgoblin:
“No, she just doesn’t understand the dangers. She has to go back. I have to see her, to tell her.”
“...So who is this girl?”
immortalgoblin:
“Yes, I do know her. I know I don’t bother with the goblins, but she’s special to me.”
“Oh. Well she seems to be having an easier job that you did with Felix. She seemed happy, like she at least didn’t mind the job. Maybe she’s better off here than the clan in Chicago.”
