id be pissed off if i was a lcl fan, supported the team when they had no/little backing only to sign one of the biggest players ever and the announcement be made in a completely separate country with no way for them to be there

Oh 100%, just shouldn’t be happening at all when they’re talking about this league, like why are CBS Golazo or whoever it is getting the exclusives?! I don’t even think Alexia’s done that much press with the actual club, it’s all about Kang and her vision now that she has one of the best players in the world, rather than the actual player.

She's playing in EUROPE, the club is called LONDON City and she's announced in NEW YORK of all places. And they say they have identity 😂

It was a very strange move that’s for sure… and the announcement wasn’t really about Alexia either which I didn’t understand. I understand Kang wanting a platform to share and explain what her plans are etc and that this unveiling seemed like a good place to do it with the press but it doesn’t mean it was the right choice… Alexia barely got a word in 😅

I understand that doing it with one of the most well known players in the world (unless you’re a World Cup commentator 🤦‍♀️) would be the way to go but I still think it would have made more sense to do it here and she’s going to be bringing the spotlight to the league more than ever
