Introducing...Jade Rose!

Jade is Jamie's older sister, (3 years older than him, so 26 years old during the run of the story) and she loves all aspects of fashion! She makes most of her own clothes and even makes outfits for folks on commission. She's a true artist and also loves to paint. She went to art school and cosmetology school. She does it all, hair, claws, fashion design, garment creation, personal styling, makeup, you name it she can probably do it. She hopes to one day launch her own fashion brand, and works as a beautician at a salon in town while she works on her dream.

Outside of beauty, Jade enjoys reading, doing crafts, identifying and tending to plants of all sorts, and dancing. Jamie has been raiding her closet since they were both little, and at first Jade was irritated with it until she quickly realized her little brother made for a great dress up model for her to practice on. Ever since then it's been a sibling bonding activity to glam up together. She even helps Jamie and Skylar get into drag when they're having a drag night. She's a role model to her little brother who idolizes her (even if he also enjoys annoying her for fun from time to time.) Sometimes she'll also join in Jamie's jam sessions and lend her beautiful singing voice to his music as another way to spend time together. She's always been passionate about social issues and taught Jamie everything he knows about effective activism and how to be a good community member. She is also the one who taught him to tag since it combined her love of painting with her love of spreading social awareness.

Like the rest of her family, she values education, honesty, loyalty, and community. She has never and will never reciprocate Skylar's crush on her, but when he's not being weird about it they get along well; like he's a second brother she never asked for but loves in spite of what a gremlin he is bc he's good to her baby brother and is a decent guy in spite of it all. She is loving and kind and always speaks her mind. She had a scene queen phase, but she outgrew that style, but still enjoys the music as well as other genres. She is quick with a joke, and often will pop in on conversations she overhears just to drop a hilarious one liner, much to the amusement of everyone but the butt of the joke (most often, Skylar; but he has a good attitude about it and always sets himself up without meaning to anyway.)

We'll learn more about her as the story goes on, but for now here's the beautiful blossom of the Rose Family, Jade!
