During Madam Mam's with McKenna, much of our conversation was about traveling, dreams, passions and what we learn from our friends. Okay I already shared this with you, Kenna, but these are the things I love about you/learn from you:
You always have the best thing to say. Whether it's a verse, a famous quote, a word of encouragement, a witty rhyme or a fun pun. Proverbs sayings constantly slip out of your mouth (not ever out of pride but) because it's so deeply ingrafted on your heart and you live it out. You love Scripture and the words you speak reflect that. I love how you're always able to make references to the Word. You only say words that are helpful in building others up according to their need. It's always so powerful
You're not afraid of dreaming big. It's really refreshing to me because I don't have many friends who dream BIG or even dream at all. And you have the courage to share bout your dreams to people. It encourages me to dream big and to pursue it full heartedly.
You love people well. You are always ready to love on people, to give a word of encouragement, to hug…whatever it is, you don't impose your burdens or stress on others. Your presence is easy and light. I love that you always seek out the gold in people, constantly looking for the positive in them even when there are 10 negatives. You focus on the positive and bring it out of them.

Sunday: missed church for the past two months bc I was out of town/traveling every weekend. Really will miss this place. And also, love the building.
Monday: picnic with Myriam (she took 4 hour study break to spend time with me in the SUN). Then a lil promenade in Palais Royal/area before a last minute errand-run/soirée w Anastasie and Amandine

Mint tea and pastry with Catherine at the Mosque of Paris. Sunny day, a great atmosphere. Then a promenade in les Jardin des Plantes (aka one of my favorite gardens) next door where we smelled roses with other French grannies. I love spring and I love flowers.

SOO I have not blogged in 4 months. That’s a third of the year and it’s a shame bc 1, so many things are worth documenting, esp this year, one of the most exciting years yet and 2, I realize that I get super excited when my friends upload their blogs so I figured that my friends would be excited to read mine as well.
So...I will fill in the past 4 months slowly. But THIS WEEK: Let’s just say that school is out, I am free as air. I have so much free time. I am sleeping a lot, spending a lot of time with friends and eating a lot (lol).
Life group was cancelled and only Kenza and I came. So we went on a walk, and on our way to dinner, we ran in to Alan and Marlene (our life group leaders) then stood in the cold and chatted for 15 minutes. The asked me if I would like to have a farewell party/dinner at their place before I leave (um...yes!). They also offered to drive me to the airport at 5 am. Keep in mind that they don’t even have a car themselves. They said they’ll ask the pastor to borrow his car. I was just thinking of taking a taxi since my host parents didn’t offer anything...but when Alan offered, it almost brought me tears :)
Angel cake with Caroline, she knows all the best pastries in town!
Korean food with Sarah! Her bf, Chan Young is working at a K restaurant and we got a LOT of free goodies. kikiki
Filles soirée organized by Elisabeth. The girls went out for Indian.
There have been some major changes in my life — both in terms of self-development as well as changes that happen in the lives of those close to me. Here are the facts I’ve realized about life and I’d like to share them with you….
I really, really like what this woman has to say. Don’t fight life.
Whoa...really identified.
SOME THOUGHTS:
I'm totally at number one.
I am totally at this process of "trial and error"... it also just feels like the beginning ...
I want to learn to embrace uncertainty.
I think I've grown a lot in the past year at managing my emotions. Good to know that the moments I've been STRETCHED is building me up to be resilient and successful in the future.

We did a tour (hired a personal driver for the day) and visited Aspendos, Perge and the Kursunlu water falls. It's low season (tourists) so we were alone in most of these site seeing sites.
Aspendos used to be an ancient Greco-Roman city. Perge was an ancient Anatolian city (Paul the Apostle came here to preach!). Then had dunch/linner with our driver before heading to the beautiful waterfall. The meal was delicious and one of our favorites since it was authentic.
