An analysis on Sorato and Taiora: the creators and writers behind the production of Digimon Adventure and 02

This is a production post about the creators and writers of Digimon Adventure/02 regarding Sorato and Taiora. I first wrote the ‘skeleton’ of this post in mid-May 2013, because I figured I could never contact Toei Animation and ask them to confirm that Sorato was planned from the first season. So, I thought, how else could I prove that it was? Well, by the Sorato evidence I saw in the series and seeing who wrote those episodes – and if there was a pattern of the same people writing them across both seasons.

It turns out there was.

There were three writers who wrote all the Sorato foreshadowing across both seasons. I had planned to make a post about it to show that Sorato was planned since the first season – but then I stumbled upon Hiroyuki Kakudou’s Twitter, where I was actually able to ask if Toei Animation had always planned Sorato from the first season. And he confirmed that it was.

You know, if I had only met Flowey, I might have had a very different view of that world, and I might have fought monsters without thinking. But because I met Toriel, and because she was so kind, I tried hard to save everyone. So I wanted to thank you for sharing these characters, like Toriel, and Napstablook, and even Flowey. I'm sorry I missed the window to donate, so I wanted to say thankyou. I plan to stay at LV1 forever, even if it becomes difficult. Because I have determination, too.
