blog moving has begun!

all right, starting the process of archiving this blog (it will not disappear, just remain inactive) and i will be creating my new blog over at the next iteration of celadonlonghorn. that blog is becoming a side blog of askdeserteagle; i’m doing this because i was never gonna be able to keep track of two dashboards at once and swapping accounts is annoying anyway.

there are a lot of memories on this blog and i certainly don’t want to lose it, but i feel like a clean slate is a good idea for if tumblr becomes one of the refuges for displaced twitter users, lmao. so that’s why i am renaming it!

also i feel the need to explain why this blog is called that after nearly eleven years of it existing: “EmeraldOx” is usually my first choice of username on any website. back in january 2012, this was taken on tumblr. the term “celadon longhorn” is simply two near-synonyms of that original username!

when i also created a twitter account a bit later, “emeraldox” was taken on twitter too, so i adopted celadonlonghorn yet again. and now, years later, i was finally able to snag the emeraldox url on tumblr!! and yet, it would make my usernames out of sync again, so... guess i’m still celadonlonghorn for a while!

i’m sure you’ve had that particular mystery on your mind for years now and it’s finally revealed. you’re welcome.

Jeez, long time no see, huh? I posted an apology for not being here in 2019, and then disappeared for another three years. Then Twitter goes and sets itself on fire and everyone’s jumping ship and remaking Tumblrs as a plan B. So I finally logged back in to this account to decide what to do with it.

I’m... not sure yet. I kind of want to transfer this URL onto a fresh blog and turn this one into an archive? I would hold onto it for the followers, but I have no idea how many of these people are still here. Plus it’s kinda embarrassing to have personal stuff from 9 years ago be so prominently displayed. And I don’t want to delete stuff either because I’m sentimental and hate the permanence of deleting anything, even if it’s dumb text posts I made when I was 15.

Regardless of if I start posting on this account again though, I’m probably just gonna keep following people on askdeserteagle because it’s been my primary account for years and years and I don’t wanna go through the trouble of scrolling through two dashboards. So if you see that one following you, that’s me.

Anyways, there’s a quick update on what I’m thinking of doing with this blog now that people are dusting off their old tumblrs. Again, apologies to anyone who tried to contact me through this account, I haven’t logged into it in literal years. Hope you are all doing well.

Interior modeling project I did for class, did a sort of ‘alchemist’s shop.’ I spent so much time filling those jars and bowls with seeds and teeth and they get all muddy in the final render! Ugh!!

Been practicing humanoids and also playing Starbound so here’s my Novakid, Dodeca! She’s kinda poor and literally lives on her ship in a sleeping bag. That sword is just what I’m using right now for her, I kinda like the look of it despite the color clash. Her snugget’s favorite food is Pearlpea Risotto, just like her.
