Another Point for Gryffindor || (Open)
Another year at Hogwarts. Thankfully that Potter guy was gone now. Though Theophilus came to Hogwarts two years after him, it had been non stop chaos. First, the whole Sirius Black escaping Azkaban, then the Cedric Diggory fiasco. The last straw was Harry not asking him to join Dumbledore’s army. Jerk.
Theo carelessly strolled the halls of Hogwarts School For Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was only his second day of classes, but he had a free period and instead of spending the time resting, or studying for his potions exam, he made plans to practice for his upcoming duel in Duelling Club.
The young Gryffindor wizard made his way past the quidditch field and stopped once he reached one of his favorite locations. The waterfall. It was quiet, and he could train in peace for the most part. Contrary to the opinions of his peers, Theo had a great understanding of magic. So much so that with much practice he developed one of his own spells. Not difficult spell to perform at all, but still the art of creating spells wasn’t a skill most possessed. He often found himself using spells used to create lighting or spells that resemble it. It was actually one of his trade marks, that and the white streak going through his hair. Rumor has it that when he was younger he was struck by lightning and ever sense he’s been obsessed. It wasn’t true, but it amused him so much he didn’t consider dispelling the rumor.
Theo rolled up the black sleeves of his robe. “Alright Theo.” he said to himself mentally preparing. He pulled out his wand. His happened to be a nine inch, mahogany wood with Dragon heartstring core. It was a wand capable of the most powerful spells, but it was temperamental and difficult to control at times.
“Draconifors!" he cast the transfiguration spell on an large boulder, turning it into a dragon. This was his first time performing this spell, but it would be a good training exercise, dueling against a dragon. He was a bit nervous going up against the mythical beast, though it was one of his own creation and not as powerful as a true dragon.
He pointed his wand at the approaching dragon. “Protego Aguamenti!” A wave of water spouted from the tip of his wand, creating a barrier around him just as the forged dragon sent a stream of fire at him. The collision created a cloud of steam which Theo used to make his move. Using the steam as cover he somersaulted into the dragon’s blind spot. “Laqueo Fulminis!” Blue sparks flew from his wand and a blue net of lightning pinned the dragon down while sending jolts of electricity coursing through the it’s body. Theo wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead as he approached the reptilian beast to make his final move. “It’s over… ” Theophilus was always the theatrical type. “Baubillious!” The final spell which released a bright, yellowish-white bolt of lightning from the tip of his wand which was pointed at the dragon’s head. Instantly it was defeated and reverted back into it’s previous state. Though, it was more or less rubble now.
The young wizard fell gently to his bum. "Now that was a work out.:" He flattened out on his back, drifting in and out of sleep. The sound of approaching footsteps cause him to jolt up, wand at the ready. "Who's there?"
