When Christy 's boyfriend cheats on her for the third time she decides it's the last time and dumps his ass. She drives away without a plan, a place to stay, or a job. That's when she bumps into Dakota...

Dakota lets her stay with her and they soon become friends, she even helps her get her first job cleaning dishes at the restaurant where she works as a server. Their friendship slowly turns into something more. Nothing they call home to their parents about but they spend every second together. They plan to run away to Sulani together where they can swim with the dolphins, they even get matching dolphin tattoos.

One day Christy wakes up to an empty bed and Dakota is nowhere to be seen. She doesn't even show up to work and since she was the only reason they hired Christy she ends up getting fired.

Christy is heartbroken and vulnerable when her ex bf finds her again. One thing leads to another and she ends up pregnant. He is the only support she has so she stays even though he treats her like shit.
