Happy Miku Monday again with Black Miku! 🩵🎤🎶

So, this was gonna be for gabriii.art's contest on Instagram but I unfortunately missed the deadline due to it taking much longer to finish than expected 😅

That's okay though. My goal wasn't to win a contest, it was to fight back against Instagram's hateful and bigoted algorithms. I wanted to contribute to this anti-racist protest above all else.

For those who don't know, gabriii.art's adorable Black Miku drawing got taken down for "Promoting Hate Speech" and "Dangerous Organizations and Individuals"

This was the so-called "hateful" drawing 🙄 People are allowed to throw around slurs, call for the death of marginalized groups, sexually harass others, etc. on the platform but GOD FORBID you make Miku black!!! /sar

Black people deserve to be seen, celebrated, and loved just as much as Hatsune Miku herself. Don't ever let them silence you into submission. Keep drawing Black Miku, keep drawing Black OCs, keep cosplaying whoever tf you want as a Black person, keep. being. proud.
