imagine someone found out about shifting an hour ago and they know absolutely nothing about it, what would you want them to know first?
i would give them this little creation i just thought up,
the human-made layers of shifting pulled back, aka the nexus of shifting
i. what is shifting?
you exist across the multiverse's infinite realities. right now, your awareness is here. does it have to be? no, you are not dr. manette and this reality is not your bastille. shifting is switching your awareness between realities, from one to another. you can be wherever you like with whoever you want doing whatever you please.
ii. how does one shift?
persist, don't complicate. it's not a physical journey. you are not on the pequod's tumultuous voyage. people lose sight of shifting and make it this big thing that they need to find the answer to because they forget what it actually is. refer to part i, where i said that you already exist in every other reality. that's what people lose sight of. you are not going anywhere when you shift, and you absolutely don't need to seek out something that will "make" you shift. you're already there and the 3d will reflect that. drop the torches, call off the search party, and please, refrain from sending out the hounds.
sidebar on methods: you don't need them. that doesn't mean you shouldn't use them. they can be engaging. they can be helpful, especially when you come across one that resonates with you. the issue is born when you internalize that you're obligated to use one. don't put all your reliance onto an external source that you think is going to be your yellow brick road to your desired reality.
iii. faq: why, then, is there a delay, when shifting could be instant? why do some people shift before others? why do some people shift on their first "try"?
your brain, that lovely, analytical beast, is entirely evidentiary. i said don't complicate, but the brain does love to complicate. cut it some slack, we all have flaws. it does not want to roll with the idea that one moment you can be in this reality and the next, in an entirely different one. that contradicts all its collected data. you, however, will shift regardless. your intention is secure. there is no such thing as a blockage in shifting, at least not in the way of being cut off from it 1945 iron curtain style. it is true that in this reality we've been conditioned in a way that lends itself to complication, but that doesn't stop anyone from shifting.
don't argue with your doubts. don't negotiate with the spiral. this is not a corporate hierarchy. don't define a morning in this reality as a "failed attempt". the shift is inevitable. in the meantime, do what you like. visualization, affirmation, or absolutely nothing. there is no requirement. there is no correct answer. go with what is innate. your intention will see you through.
I đ¶bsolutely love when shifters have this deep love towards their s/o, cause I have it towards mine. Itâs that painful but warm feeling in your chest every time you see them because you just love them sooo much. shifters love so deeply đ
lao tzu said: "to hold you must first open your hand. let go."
the commonality i've noticed with people trying to let go is the trying. there is so much effort that gets put into relinquishing control, which is observable outside of shifting, too. so many times i've seen people ask how to let go, which i find counterintuitive.
if you are asking how to let go of something, then by all logic you're only holding on tighter. surrender isn't something you do. it isn't a form of taking action.
this is where restlessness is born, because we as products of this reality believe that there is some work to be done for the outcome, always. the mule only knows to carry, but the bird flies uninhibited.
surrender is not a step in a method. the moment you treat it like a step, your knuckles are white with how tightly you're attempting control. making it a step makes it something that needs to be achieved. surrender is the absence of that.
the mind that tries to force an outcome is still oriented around the absence of it. it obsessively checks: do i have it? is it working? am i close? that orientation reinforces the idea that what you want is somewhere else, sometime later.
surrender dissolves that dynamic, because when you stop trying to produce the outcome, you also stop reinforcing your separation from it.
this is why people often shift when they weren't actively attempting it. for a moment, they stopped white-knuckling the process. the hand opened, so to speak, and when the hand is open, there is no closed fist resisting what was always within reach.
shifting is effortless... but do you know what that really means???â§âËâȘđàżâËâč
i saw you roll your eyes just now and almost scroll and i get it. mommy not mad at you. this isn't gonna be your average, "you can shift without doing anything. i shift just by blinking. now move along," post. (they're right, but i'm not even gonna touch on shifting instantly just through intention. yes it's possible, yes people do it. yes you can do it. that's not what this is about.) i actually find methods extremely helpful and will encourage anyone to try a method. not to stringently follow some random method from tiktok that they hate and make themselves uncomfortable by laying immobile for hours. but to play around with the parts of different methods they like to make one that works for them. hrrtshape's anti-method went multi-platinum in my bedroom. i am a method enthusiast
we've essentially been conditioned to think that if something doesn't work, we need to try harder. dedicate hours each day to practicing, failing, trying again, exerting all the energy we have to work toward our goals. feels like everyone's shifting journey is turning into the montage song from south park these days. but like.... why would you need to work harder at.... letting go?? if you're trying to tighten your grip on something to loosen your grip on it, you're stagnant. trying so hard to forget something is the most obnoxious reminder of all. that's why you're stuck. immovable object vs. unstoppable force, basically. hustle culture is so bad it's literally making people think they need to work harder at relaxing.
some of you seem to think that falling asleep while doing your method is worse than continually stopping your method just to confirm to yourself that it hasn't worked. but what is sleep if not the most effortless detachment? that's why sleep methods exist !! a proven effective way to shift > actively preventing the shift by â get this â shifting your awareness back to your cr. that's what checking is. shifting awareness isn't just being here and then being at hogwarts. it's an inescapable part of daily life. guess what? you're breathing manually now (so sorry). just shifted awareness to your breathing. in like 5 minutes you'll forget, and then you won't be aware of it. and that's how easy detaching is, too. you literally just stop bringing your attention to it, and then you detach. can you see the connection between this and your shifting method? every time you bring your attention back to your breathing, it makes it harder to go back to automatic breathing. you're not gonna do it by.. not manually breathing.. harder? same thing with shifting.
and that's what "shifting is effortless" means. yes, detaching can be hard, but think about it. could checking to see if you're still in your cr and then affirming that you're a failure possibly be better than persevering through your doubts??? all signs point to NO. and perseverance is key. i'm most successful when i surrender to the moment, just embodying my dr self. even when i'm just trying to daydream, because clearly intention has nothing on me (this is a cry for help). if you struggle with detachment, i recommend practicing meditation. its whole purpose is detachment and shifting focus (and it's also just good for you in general so yayyyy). you don't have to do 5000 robotic affirmations per day. you don't have to reprogram your mind. you don't have to ruin your sleep schedule doing wbtb every night. you don't have to pay for a bracelet to make you shift (wtf even was that). you're not a slacker or lazy or undeserving of shifting for letting yourself let go. shifting is never gonna be something you have to tirelessly work toward because it's already part of you. ââŽïžËïœĄâ
(ii) â the blunt reason why you "haven't shifted" is more comforting than you think, and you need to hear it.
i'm sure shifting can feel frustrating, especially when you sit down for an attempt and don't see any tangible signs that you're getting closer or making real progress. so i'm here to reassure you and hopefully offer some better insight into your own shifting journey.
these are patterns i've noticed across my own attempts, particularly my most successful ones, based on reflections i've done through tarot readings to gain a deeper understanding of what's really happening on the spiritual side of things during a shifting attempt through the help of higher power. from those readings, i've been able to identify some potential key themes and ideas around what actually makes an attempt successful, what doesn't, and what truly muddies your ability to shift.
long read. sorry. but it's worth it guys. i love long posts. remember do your own research take this post as a suggestion !
what makes a successful attempt?
and here's where i think the real nuance comes in. we typically define a successful attempt as fully shifting your awareness and grounding yourself in your dr. but i'm here to change your perspective on what a successful attempt actually is. there is no such thing as a failed shifting attempt. the moment you decide to lay down, whether it's a wake method or a sleep method and you set that intention to shift, the shifting experience begins immediately. in that moment, you are already connecting with dr self. you are already doing everything right. the second you set the intention and engage your intentions on shifting, the shift is happening and unraveling. you are literally shifting, whether you believe it or not (thus you can shift with doubts). just like anyone else you see online, anyone you follow, anyone whose experiences you hear about, when you decide to set that intention spiritually, the shift occurs. because it's your power and your decision.
these factors aren't what's making your attempts fail. they're not signs that nothing is working or that you're doing something wrong. they're just muddy. static on the line, not a broken signal. because the moment you genuinely choose to shift, it's already happening. it's not conditional. it doesn't sometimes work and sometimes not, the intention itself sets it in motion, it wants to happen. your dr is reaching out. the process is already in motion. what these factors do is potentially cloud that connection. doubt, perfectionism, symptom-chasing, passive hoping none of them cancel the shift. they just make it a bit fuzzy to receive. they pull your focus away from something that's already unfolding and redirect it toward noise. so the attempt was never the problem. the connection was always there. it's just about learning to stop getting in your own way long enough to actually meet it.
okay, so why do i not shift then?
now, there are a number of reasons possibly why, even though you've set the intention and your spiritual self is already aligning with your dr you may not fully ground or fully shift your awareness to the point of opening your eyes in your desired reality. quick reminder: this is all based on my own personal research and my own journey, and what i've been able to piece together from that. i hope it resonates with you, it certainly resonates for me but shifting is such an individual experience, and that's always worth keeping in mind.
1. you do not truly want to shift.
this can manifest as seeing shifting as a burden, lack of passion, drive or even lack of mental clarity and decisions. (6 swords, 10 wands, 2 swords)
this might be a brutal take, and possibly a frustrating one to hear, especially if you've been attempting to shift for months or even years. but i genuinely think it's something a lot of us need to sit with. when you attempt over and over to the point of frustration, when you feel like you're seeing no results, shifting starts to feel like a chore. and at that point, rather than actually accepting the version of your dr self that's already reaching out to you, you start waiting, passively hoping that something external will just carry you there without your decision, that's the trap. you have to actively choose to set the intention. i know that sounds harder than it is, but it's so much simpler than we make it. you have to decide to shift. and part of that decision is releasing the grip â letting go of the frustration, the pressure, the worries, the sense that this is something you're obligated to perform rather than something you simply can do. you feel like "ugh, i've been going at this for years let me just lay down and try and hope i get there, or hope something happens."
what does this look like?
take sleep methods, for example. when you fall asleep hoping you'll wake up in your dr, yes â the intention is technically there. but what you're really seeking in that moment is the relief of sleep itself. you're seeking the release from the stress and frustration that shifting has accumulated for you and the hope that something will sway in. so subconsciously, that's exactly what you get. you fall asleep, you withdraw from the worry, but you don't shift. you just sleep. the withdrawal happened without the crossing.
this can also show up in wake methods. you might go into an attempt feeling genuinely driven and passionate, and that's real. but if subconsciously there's doubt, uncertainty, discomfort, or quiet fear sitting underneath all of that, it creates invisible barriers. ones that don't actually exist, but feel just as solid.
listen to your intuition, if today feels right then allow it but don't force it assume no progress and then beat yourself down when in reality you weren't fully interesed.
2. you think nothing is happening or nothing is working.
this can manifest as believing no symptoms=no shift, or believing you're still here, or over-analysing. (4 cups, 5 cups, page swords)
as someone who's a perfectionist and analytical, this one hits close to home. we've been conditioned to believe that a successful attempt has to come with symptoms, that you should feel your room shifting, feel something changing, feel something. and so when you go into an attempt, you start monitoring. checking. measuring. and the moment you do that, you've pulled your attention away from the one thing that actually matters, accepting your dr self and the reality that's already reaching out to you. chasing proof is what makes you miss it. you get so focused on finding evidence that something is working that you become completely blind to the shift itself. and the irony is that shifting can feel like absolutely nothing. you can set the intention and shift immediately, no symptoms, no sensations, no dramatic transition. so stop grading your attempt. stop asking yourself "is this working? what am i doing wrong? why can't i feel anything?" â because every time you ask that question, you're turning away from your dr reality, not toward it. instead, affirm where you are. trust it. believe it without needing it to prove itself to you first. the shift isn't something you can monitor your way into, it's something you allow.
3. you give up too early.
this can manifest as getting bored or believing that because you've been attempting for a certain time period, "nothing must be working" (6 swords, 8 cups, 5 cups)
this one ties directly into my awake girlies, but it can apply to asleep too! shifting can feel like nothing. so you can be mid-attempt, fully in it, and genuinely believe that nothing is happening, and that's where the ego steps in. it convinces you to stop. to open your eyes. to give up. but what was actually happening beneath that stillness is that you were shifting. your dr self was reaching out, and you were aligning with it. the moment you open your eyes and give up, your subconscious snaps back. it can't leave you suspended between realities, so it anchors you back here, and it feels like nothing ever happened. but it did. you were already leaving. that's why so many people feel like they've never made progress, when in reality they've been close over and over again. every time they got too in their head, every time the doubt got loud enough, they opened their eyes and unknowingly pulled themselves back. it's not easy, because sometimes attempts may take longer than feels bearable. but a lot of the time, giving up early isn't a failed attempt, it's a interrupted one. the shift was there. you just didn't stay long enough to land. trust your own ability. trust that it's working even when it feels like silence. sometimes there are no symptoms, no sensations, just a quiet click and suddenly you're there.
okay so what can i do to successfully shift?
i know this might start to sound repetitive and is said a lot in the community, but it's worth saying again. every single one of these factors: the lack of passion, the over-analysis, giving up too early, none of them are real restrictions. they're things we create, and then we believe in them so hard that they become walls. when you don't have the passion, the choice to shift is still there. but instead of receiving it openly, you're carrying it like a burden. when you're overanalyzing, the opportunity is right in front of you, your dr self is literally reaching out, but you're more preoccupied with whether you're doing it correctly than with what's actually being offered to you. and when you give up too early, you could be seconds away. genuinely. and then you open your eyes and snap back, and it feels like proof that nothing was happening. but it wasn't proof of failure, it was you leaving right before the finish line. these feelings are valid. it makes complete sense that this process feels defeating when you don't understand what's happening underneath it. but that's exactly the point. what feels like a wall is just static. the shift itself was never the problem.
why does shifting feel difficult, shouldn't it be easy?
shifting is as easy as breathing, simple in concept, but the receiving of it is where it gets complicated. the moment you set the intention, it's already happening. that part is effortless. but what's happening in your subconscious on any given day can quietly interfere without you even knowing why, and because you can't always pinpoint the cause, it builds frustration. and frustration builds cycles. and cycles are why some people spend years in the same pattern, putting in effort, hoping something lands, but unknowingly repeating the same blocks over and over. the shift is always reaching out to you. your job isn't to force it, it's to receive it. to choose it. to actually want it without conditions or expectations clouding the line. you have free will. you have the power to make that choice. but the moment you forget that, or the moment you start placing expectations on how it should feel or look, that connection gets muddy. and that's really the whole thing.
letting go, staying passionate, trying things out, affirming, owning your power, releasing other people's expectations or advice and seeking your own journey, trusting your intuition, and not letting a pity party get to your head, that's genuinely all it takes.
(p.s. even after you've shifted before (lol), attempts can still feel incomplete sometimes. and that's not failure, it might just be that you're anxious about an exam the next day, or uncomfortable, or there's too much noise in your head to fully let go. but if you can genuinely internalise the belief that it's always there, always available, always working a difficult attempt stops feeling like a dead end and starts feeling like a waypoint. that shift in perspective alone makes you more open, and being more open is half of it. i also think this is why accidental shifts happen. in those moments, people aren't carrying expectations. they fall asleep subconsciously open to receiving the shift rather than desperately hoping it'll come to them. that distinction is everything.
there's a lot happening beneath the surface with shifting that we can't always see or measure. but the comfort is in knowing it's always in motion. it's always working.
you keep thinking you haven't shifted until you see a different bedroom in front of you. you're letting that be the proof. you say: "i am shifting right now, i am in my dr right now." but every time you open your eyes and peep to see whether or not you shifted, you see the same bedroom as usual and think: "oh, guess i haven't shifted after all. im still in my cr."
why are you letting the 3d decide what shifting means? you're giving 3d the power to decide when you shift. and maybe that's why nothing's working. the 3d is not alive, has no consciousness, is not a powerful creator like you are. the 3d is fully stagnant. all that is changing and is alive is YOU. all that has the power of decision is YOU. you are surrendering your power and giving it to an inanimate object, so don't act surprised when the object doesn't get up and change your life for you. nothing will happen because it's not alive. you are.
so in conclusion, YOU decide whether or not you shifted. you have the power to decide that, the 3d doesn't. if you project your ability to change your life, onto the way your bedroom looks, well nothing is changing because your bedroom doesnt make decisions at all. you can say right now, "i am in my dr" and you would be fully correct.
"there's nothing left to do because you are everything"
you already did everything. you scripted everything, you know everything about the universe, you watched every video, you visualised every scenario that could possibly happen.
you are enough.
in every dimension, you exist simultaneously. there's an infinite neverending list of things you "need to do" before you shift. but since YOU are infinite, then you already did all of them.
so stop waiting. you shouldn't spend all your time theoretically researching, planning and thinking instead of doing. that's not how you become a master.
everything you imagined is real. i mean actually. I'm not just saying that. it's true. daydreamed about dating someone you can "never" have? inserted yourself in your fav tv shows? imagined yourself performing your fav songs at your concert with thousands of people watching?
it's not imagination, it's remembering.
and yes, you possess all the knowledge of the universe. you can now stop pretending you are only one measly human with a small brain.
1. I really wanted chick fila, so I decided to affirm that I had chick fila about 4 times then I stopped thinking about it. A few minutes later my dad picked me up from school and handed me some chick fil a lolll.
2. Gf wasnât in a good mood but I wanted to talk to her, so I hopped in the shower and affirmed a few times that she was in a good mood. When I got out and talked to her she was more talkative and even said âYou always put me in a good mood,â
3. My friend needed a ride home, to which I usually wouldnât mind giving but my dad was already tired and it was late so I was scared to ask. So, I affirmed that my friend didnât need a ride at all. A few minutes later my friend told me that they didnât need a ride anymore and their grandpa was coming to get them.
As soon as you affirm, the 3D moves in order to match with your 4D. The only reason thereâs a delay is because you perceive that thereâs one. Whether you believe in purges, delays, or even movement ( which are optional beliefs, by the way), those things all prevent your manifestation from being instant. If you only believe that thereâs is only instant manifestations, your reality will reflect that.
i feel like people on shiftblr never spell things out so iâm going to try my hand at it.
it is true that the moment you decide to shift, you do. this is because your awareness is not attached to anything, it will simply do what you want it to do because it is you. youâre not your thoughts, your doubts, or even your feelings. you are the observer of those things.
so if thatâs the case, why are you still having difficulty experiencing the shift in the 3d?
well, dear reader, the reason for that is simple. your awareness may move instantly, but itâs still funneled through your mind. your mind is still the thing that has to register, âoh yeah, weâre in a different reality now.â therefore, if your mind is going through a bunch of hoopla, itâs more likely for it to just miss the shift even though it already happened.
think of it like switching radio channels. the channel changes instantly. awareness = your hand turning the dial up or down. if youâre wearing headphones blasting your own music, you wonât hear the new channel. nothing blocked the switch. you saw yourself make the decision to turn the dial and do it. but you didnât consciously hear the music change and you wonât until you take the headphones off.
well, how do i take the headphones off then?
by dropping the idea that the 3d is the baseline in which you measure reality from. the only reason people donât notice their shift is cause theyâre still looking to the 3d to prove to them that their awareness shifted. you must trust yourself, trust your awareness and stop giving the 3d that authority. thereâs nothing to âcheckâ against!
whatever you say goes, goes. your awareness follows because that is the law. ironically, it is when you fully adopt that attitude that you will notice instantaneous shifts. because youâre not waiting for confirmation from something outside your awareness. youâre letting awareness define the moment by itself.
the next time you go to set intention you want to have your mind and awareness in alignment. fully agree (and feel) that your 3d isnât your reference point anymore. release expectation of what it should feel like or how long it should take. it takes no time because awareness shifts instantly and you are awareness.
then when you set your intention you can do a few things: (choose which suits you best OR do your own thing)
1. envision your dr and imagine each sense. narrate it in your head like youâre looking around right then and there.
2. embody your dr selfâs mind. what would you be thinking in your dr? who are you? what are you doing?
3. just surrender. breathe. set your intention with a simple and clear phrase. donât repeat yourself or try to convince yourself. just accept it and be.
finally, if you catch yourself slipping back into checking, simply redirect by repeating one of these steps. not in a desperate âoh itâs not working, i failed, let me start over way.â itâs just to ease your mind. and if youâre really chill, you can just ignore the thought. it means nothing!
the misunderstood demonization of âaffirm & persistâ
why the foundation and common term in manifestation is now almost seen as taboo for others
letâs be honest⊠when you hear âjust assumeâ or âaffirm and persist!â it makes you want to slam your head into the nearest surface and scream at the top of your lungs âIâve been DOING that but nothingâs happening!!â
but let me break this down for you; if you HAVE been doing that, would you be reacting this way? no
i know, i know, just let me explain more before you have a breakdown
when we tell you to affirm and persist, it just goes right back to the classic âjust assumeâ route. itâs all the same!
why affirm & persist will always tie back to just assuming
this is an easy answer! itâs called LAW OF ASSUMPTIONNN HELLOO????? Itâs not called law of 900 methods with my 600 subliminals in a playlist on loop and then swearing that iâm âalmost thereâ and keeping yourself in that toxic cycle that gets you nowhere
and yes, i know how annoying it can be when youâre told the same each time; but just âassumingâ and âaffirm & persistâ is so much more than robotic affirming.
law of assumption is, and always WILL be subjective
this means that if the way that YOU are assuming, or the way you are persisting feels wrong or boring or just a chore, you are doing it wrong based on your standards. especially if you are not receiving any results (or you are, but it takes really long)
how to apply the law of assumption in a way that fits you
it is so much easier than you think it is. stop overcomplicating this!! you have the secrets of the universe and you arenât even using it to your own favor????
thereâs already a variety of methods and techniques used in order to manifest. choose what sounds appealing to YOU
robotic affirming? visualization? SATS? void state? subliminals? affirmation tapes? babes, itâs all up to you! use all of these, maybe one or two, mix them, or just use one!
affirming & persisting for you may include subliminals and visualization, or maybe itâs just robotic affirmations and sats! maybe itâs a method that hasnât even been done before! make up your own routine!! itâs THAT easy
stop waiting and expecting for something to happen⊠your subconscious is waiting for YOU to actually take action!
you either HAVE IT or you donât. there is no in between. go shift!! go live your dream life!!
how to get yourself to believe something before it's shown up:
FIRST:: stop asking the 3D if its true. belief collapses the moment you start checking for proof. by doing this, you're training your mind to think "my desire is only real and can be actualized if my physical reality confirms it." and thats how you sabotoge yourself. and be so deadass rn because im sure a good portion of you do this and then ask me why you arent getting results... đ by asking that you're affirming that you don't have results which says to the both of us that you've been constantly checking.
instead, teach your mind that "reality changes after i do. whatever i say goes"
and you don't need FULL ABSOLUTE UNWAVERING BELIEF. you just need whatever jesus said: "faith the size of a mustard seed." you just need one tiny mental idea that says "yeah, this can be possible" once your brain gets a hold of hope/possibility, then you can expand that and move mountains.
belief comes from identity, not thoughts. instead of TRYING to believe, behave as IF in tiny ways. if you're manifesting beauty, walk with more confidence of a person who's beautiful. if you're manifesting love, act like someone that's already chosen. if you're manifesting money, think and act as someone who's rich. and it doesnt have to be anything major. BUT MENTALLY OPERATE AS A PERSON WHO ALREADY HAS IT.
a big part of manifestation is NOT 'trying'
if you feel like youre TRYING,, then immediately stop and take a deep breath. realize that you're already living it and there's nothing to TRY.
You know you can do it, stop fucking doubting yourself. Get your act together and do something with the world that is literally in YOUR hands.
You have the ability to do anything. FUCKING ANYTHING. And you choose to use it by sitting around waiting for the right time to come?
Do it now.
And yes I mean right now.
Live the life you deserve ho.
Use the ability you were given and finally take that step, even if you're afraid. Even if it's your 127th attempt. Even if doubts are consuming your mind like a crazy person.
Because one day you'll sit there and be thankful that you tried. That you finally managed to reach your goal.
''Since when has it become not cool to try. Fucking loser'' - A$ap Rocky
oh girl u donât gotta do shit before you shift just think that u wanna wake up there and youâre gonna wake up there and even if youâre scared of the big chance FUCK ITTTT cmon u wanna finally have fun donât u
