It has been 16 days into the new year, and I have thoughts that I don’t know where to put it.
I’m really happy. I don’t know how or why, but for whatever reason, I’m not really questioning this phase of my life that just feels really happy and present and here. I don’t think anything I’m doing sounds particularly impressive, but I’m doing things that make me happy with people that I enjoy.
In that weird in between place between Christmas and New Years, I decided that I wasn’t enthusiastic about making a new year’s resolution, since there’s all that talk about people making resolutions to break them. Plus, I’m not really in a place to think very far into the future. So, these are just some things on my mind as I navigate this year.
- I’m going to put effort into people putting effort into me. I don’t want to chase people down, I don’t want to drain myself sending messages that don’t get responses, I’m here if you need me, but if you’re doing your thing, I’m cheering you on from afar. So far, it’s been pretty cool. I’m excited to do some cool things with Ate Garces for events in the future, and even possibly helping with APO events here in my area. <3
- I’m going to strive to continue the grind. I’m still working at Cal-SOAP, taking ASL classes at Mesa, and if CBB doesn’t work out, I’m going for ASL Interpreter stuff as a backup. I miss being in leadership for an org, though. So I’m trying to do more APO stuff as an alumni.
- I want to be healthier. I want to be stronger. I want to be able to keep lifting giant people at raves and stuff LOL. I want to get my waist a bit slimmer so I can get my cello tattoo on my back. I don’t really have a number goal or a time frame in mind, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated bc I don’t know how to fitness. >.>
I’ve been really happy with how I look, and what I do, and the person I am. It hasn’t gone away and I’m really glad about it. I’m happy to be my genuine self and live my life the way I want. I appreciate the people who are down for me and accept me. I’m excited to keep raving this year, to keep meeting people, to plan events and give back. I’m excited to come back to old communities and old friends, because I’ve been in this weird transition place since last summer, and I’m finally getting into the next level.
I’m happy to be in this place, honestly. I’m ready for whatever comes next.
