Have you ever tried meditation outdoors? And I mean in the woods, not on a porch (like I was here). . Meditation outside is a good metaphor for real life. . You see, at home, when I go to my nice dark corner with just some candle light, soft soothing music and maybe even a guide’s voice, my meditation goes pretty smoothly. Even here on the porch, the biggest distraction is dogs barking. . But a meditation in the woods means I’m dealing with bugs crawling on me, gusts of strong wind (yes, this was an issue in Whistler, Canada), or itchy grass on my feet and acorns digging into my thighs. . And that’s real life. . It never goes smoothly. . When I meditate outdoors it reminds me of the true practice of meditation (and life!), which is just to BE. Allow what is. Stay present without judgement of the outside forces. Because those outside forces will ALWAYS be there. Instead of retreating from them, to my perfect dark corner in the bedroom, I sometimes choose to meditate outside. . Out of curiosity, have you ever just allowed an ant crawling on you to just crawl on you? Sure, it’s intense. It kinda tickles in a crazy way and all ya wanna do is smack it. But it can also be an incredible practice to breathe through the literal skin-crawling intensity of an ant on your leg. I mean, talk about training the nervous system to stay calm! Just curious if anyone else has tried this. . Nonetheless I hope this snippet of my morning meditation inspires you to take a mindful minute to use your Centering Pendant and your breath to relax into whatever is. Right now. . ❤️🙏👌 . #mindful #mindfulliving #mindfulness #interconnectedness #interconnected #creativehappylife #handmadeart #handmadependant #staycentered #justbreathe #bestill #practicepresense #meditate #meditatedaily #meditationtime #meditation #dailymeditation #yogajewelry #getquiet #getstill #namaste #helpingothers #yogaismorethanasana #yogainpiration #trusttheuniverse #trustyourSelf #allow #spiritualgrowth #spiritualawakening (at Greenville, South Carolina)
