originally the only book i had for mexico was xavier villarrutia's "nostalgia de la muerte" but i've since added a few more: "sor juana's love poems", "amora" by rosamaria roffiel, "infinita" by ethel krauze, "el diario de josé toledo" by miguel barbachano ponce, "41 o el muchacho que soñaba fantasmas" by paolo po, and "el vampiro de la colonia roma" by luis zapata!

If you're still doing that global queer classics list you might want to look into Panait Istrati's "Adrian Zografi's Adolescence". I'd classify his works as Romanian lit even though (just like a not insubstantial amount of Romanian authors, playwrights etc of his time) he wrote a majority of his works in French, but also translated them to Romanian himself.
