Promised land is a state of mind
Leonidas Giannakopoulos illustrates for the refugees. With the title: “Promised land is a state of mind” 2 different wall paintings with the same concept and esthetics were created in the American ex-military base in Elefsina during the “Her-Ma Conference”.
The pieces are dedicated to the human nature that is always seeking for a better tomorrow and is constantly moving and it does not constitute a political statement. Black and white illustrations with golden details intrigue the spectator to give his own meaning to them.

UNEXPECTED.
This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Fort Smith, Arkansas for UNEXPECTED, a street art festival curated by Just Kids and sponsored by 64/6 Downtown, featuring artwork by D*Face, Bicicleta Sem Freio, Askew, Ana Maria, Maser, Vhils and ROA. I was blown away by not only the art but also the community and spirit of Fort Smith’s residents. I think the arrival of these artists and the murals that they produced really sparked something in the hearts of the viewers and with it brought a new light to the area.
You can see in progress shots and more images of the finished murals below. All photographs are by me unless otherwise specified.
