“The Morning Benders — Ceremony - live” From Mir Iqbal: > “the Morning Benders have covered this song many times, and I think they actually do a pretty good job”
“Ceremony [with Ian McCulloch] (Live)” From [Diana](http://mixtapeconversation.tumblr.com/): > “New Order circa the late 80's I think - live at a UK festival You may have seen the [short clip](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtiKm_t729w) which shows a bit of actual footage, including Ian's spectacular fondness for sweaters, as well as the wild follicle fire that is his hair.”

The Tainted Truth — “Ceremony”
From Kevin:
“My band covered 'Ceremony' for our 8 year anniversary from the day we formed. May sound a little rough, but we tried. There's a free download on my soundcloud of it. We have the original slower version and sped it up and changed the key for the faster version. Enjoy!”
Meishi Smile’s version of “Ceremony” driven by upbeat synths and female vocal.
It sort of destroys me that you can barely hear Ian Curtis’ vocals for the first part of this due to vocals being mixed too low and yet it’s so effective in an eerie way that he sounds gone already, that when that voice does boom in, it’s wracked with grief, the “watching forever” making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Stereoboy (Luis Salgado)’s very electronic and atmospheric cover of “Ceremony”
newwavetimewarp:
The original (Gillian-less) version of New Order’s “Ceremony” single came out January 22, 1981. Here’s a terrific live performance from later in the year.
“Ceremony New Order Cover” by [Wontonofanmail](http://www.youtube.com/user/wontonofanmail) The guitar sound on this cover version is very bright.
