I don’t believe I will ever get over how utterly amazing and perfect this date was. I knew it from the moment we jumped out his car in the parking garage, and just as we ran into the elevator, he had pulled me into him to kiss me. That single moment will live on with every time I see him. The show was entirely sold out, and he had purchased tickets online from a website that he said was “a little sketchy” so naturally, he was concerned whether our tickets would scan and whether we’d be accepted into the show. I did my absolute best to keep him calm and excited for the show. I explained that he should not be nervous because the universe would would take care of the situation and to be in the moment with me. We waited in line for what seemed like an hour and finally the moment of truth, our tickets scanned and we looked at one another and smiled widely while scurrying down the stairs to the floor, where the room was quickly filling up with people. We took place front and center stage as he wrapped his arm around my waist from the side and pulled me into him and kissed me. The first to go on was a DJ who while at first was interesting and nice to listen to, it quickly became repetitively obnoxious and I wanted it to be over. I just needed Chvrches to take the stage. The DJ finishes his entirely too long set and clears the stage. We wait. My palms begin to sweat in his, my way of telling him “I’m nervous because I’m with you, but anxious for this show to start” The stage lights turn blue and begin to flash as the crowd begins to clap and cheer for the bands arrival. The band takes stage and the music for “We Sink” begins to play. “We are—I’ve come apart, and you made me Float like a pretty box of your evil So tired So easy, I” The rest is just history.
