Reigns getting buried as punishment for a first offense, yet Orton was never punished beyond suspension. He “went there” about Lesnar because he knows he’s untouchable and can get away with it.

why are you trying to stir the pot though?

first thing is first, orton “went there” because he was told to by the writers because he was doing his job just like every time roman was told to say some dumb shit and has been crucified for it (sufferin’ succotash, anyone? the jack and the beanstalk story?)

the second thing is, you clearly have never watched randy orton’s career. he was a 12 time champion, sure, but he was pushed down into the midcard, or at least midcard levels plenty of times during his career. he’s spent his entire career overshadowed by john cena because he couldn’t get his act right in his 20s. orton himself even said that there were periods of time that he was “up here” gesturing his hand up high to suggest the main event, and times when he was “put around here” gesturing with his hand about mid way, to suggest the midcard, all attributed to his drug abuse, mental and anger issues. but just like they see something in roman, they saw something in randy and they forced him to get himself cleaned up and help and that’s when his career picked up better (which would be about 2009, and yet he still hit some shitty lulls -- orton vs del rio, vs big show, kane, sheamus??????)

if you want to be pressed about anybody not getting punished, be pressed about lesnar, because the ufc isn’t fining him, the worst the wwe has done is move him from the 1st overall draft pick to the 8th and let randy make a comment about him and that’s probably all they’ll do. its up to the usada to punish him now.

as for roman, he has been back now all of 4 days and in those 4 days he

cleared the first overall draft (seth) pick from the ring and sent him to the back with his tail between his legs. threw the title at ambrose and left. that was friday night, his first night back.

beat kevin owens, one of the most over guys on the roster in the typical roman reigns fashion. that was saturday, his second night back.

loses the triple threat match in a filler ppv that served as nothing but a continuation to the draft considering most of the matches had people who were split up because of the draft anyway. he still looked strong as hell, if not stronger than he ever was before, hence ambrose and rollins teaming up to take him out. it’s easier to take out the scrawny guy in leather pants or jeans than it is to take out the big ass muscle dude wearing a bullet proof vest. that was sunday, his third night back and first televised match back.

if we’re all going to sit here and whine about roman’s career being over and him being buried because he didn’t win the title on his first televised match, or that he just got up and walked away after the match then that’s idiotic as hell. and if we’re going to whine that ‘WELL, SETH WAS MEAN AND SHAT ON HIM BECAUSE HE GOT SUSPENDED!!!!!’ that’s also stupid. roman was gone. roman trended for DAYS because he was suspended; other guys get suspended and forgotten IMMEDIATELY until they come back unless they make a stink about it like adam rose did. they couldn’t ignore it or say roman hurt himself against seth which is their typical protocol for these kinds of things. they had to build a triple threat match with only 2 out of 3 guys there. he’s lucky he was even in the match at all still.

first off, he’s JUST returning from a suspension. nobody comes back and has a title win their first week back from a suspension. orton and jeff hardy were both suspended and both won the wwe title during their respective active years nearly ONE YEAR removed from their suspension. jeff won his in a match, randy won the money in the bank and cashed in on daniel bryan. both of these happened within a year or more. not 4 days. shawn michaels was suspended and off of his violation he went and had one of the greatest ladder matches in wwe history (if you need dates, he was suspended for 60 days, september - november 1993 and had the ladder match at wrestlemania 10, march of 1994) and where is he now? in the hall of fame. and his charge was actually for steroids, something probably WORSE than roman.

second off, again, battleground was a filler ppv to finalize the draft to figure out what titles go where, with the exception of the women’s title and the tag titles since they were not on the line that night. almost everyone involved in each match isn’t even on the same brand anymore now because looking back:

bayley- nxt, sasha/charlotte/dana - raw

new day/braun strowman - raw, bray/rowan - smackdown

darren young - raw, miz - smackdown

rusev - raw, zack ryder - smackdown

nattie/becky- smackdown

zayn/owens - raw

cena/aj - smackdown, enzo, cass, gallows, anderson - raw

orton - smackdown, jericho - raw

reigns/rollins - raw, ambrose - smackdown

there was no reason for roman, or seth, to win the title. raw has literally almost every single belt the wwe has. they have the women’s title, the tag team titles and the us title. stephanie announced the cruiserweight division would be returning and would be exclusive to raw which means they’d likely get a cruiserweight title. smackdown only has the wwe title and the intercontinental title. it only made sense for dean to win and retain the title from a not kayfabe point of view.

what sense would it have made for roman to attack dean - a guy on a DIFFERENT BRAND - when the smackdown superstars were celebrating that they have a chance to win the big one now? what sense would it have made for him to interrupt seth’s screaming match with stephanie (he was having a temper tantrum) to attack him when they’re on the SAME BRAND and will have plenty of time to beat the shit out of each other, especially in the weeks leading up to summerslam?

if any of you people bothered to watch roman and learn his actual characterization instead of oggling him or complaining that he isn’t getting his behind powdered all the time in kayfabe, you would learn and know that roman picks and chooses his battles. he isn’t off the hinge like dean and he’s not underhanded like seth. he had literally no reason to attack either man after the match. he attacks when he’s pushed over the edge or when it’s necessary, which is why he beat the living hell out of triple h like 3 weeks in a row a few months back, he was provoked. he felt it was necessary to go into battle, not to bide his time, he already did that.

stephanie mcmahon is running raw. STEPHANIE MCMAHON. she’s going to want a world title for raw, she’s a spoiled brat, something is going to come of that.

for once, let a storyline PLAY OUT instead of immediately whining that roman didn’t do what y’all wanted the very moment y’all wanted it.
