Hi I know y'all have prob seen these a million times but I'm gonna make it real simple n easy!! These are traditional meanings as well as what I feel rings true about the suits!!
WANDS - traditionally associated with fire, these cards are about passionate topics, boldness, abruptness, impulsiveness and just overall aggression/assertion. think of the energies of aries, leo and sagittarius. wands deal with the ego/personality, seeking a deeper meaning, feeling unsure, and call for thinking things through and acting on them.
PENTACLES/COINS - associated with earth and deal with matters of hearth/home, family/close relationships, the ego/self, stability and foundations. think of the energies of taurus, virgo and capricorn. pentacles usually deal with work, career, change, manifestation, usually point toward a time of abundance/materialism and call for balance.
SWORDS - associated with air so these cards typically deal with abstract things like thought, communication, knowledge and change. think of the energies of gemini, libra and aquarius. this suit point toward change, conflict, action/call to action, knowledge and call for using logic over emotion, so think things out fully before acting.
CUPS/VESSELS - associated with water so this suit is all about emotions, intuition, healing, spirituality and personal matters. think of the energies of cancer, scorpio and pisces. these cards tend to recommend looking inward for answers, a lack of assertion/logic, emotional issues, magical/metaphysical matters and dreams/fantasy/illusions.
