It is December 6 and the streets of Tupiza are preparing for the celebration of Independence Day. As every year, students from each of the schools in the region perform a choreographed march through the center of the city, wearing colorful costumes of colonial court. A teacher carries with it a banner holded in a cross, a gift for his long work at school.

Students at the entrance of the Nakhimov Naval Academy of Sevastopol. This school, located on the Crimean Peninsula, was the main naval school of Ukraine, which receives many international students each year. After the civil war starts in Ukraine, following the protests unleashed in November 2013 known as Euro Maidan, in 2014 Crimea became a federal district of Russia. In the picture is possible to appreciate the Ukrainian shield was still presiding over the institution.

He is one of the victims of the genocide committed in Srebrenica the 11th of July of 1995, when thousands of males, whose only guilt was to belong to a different religion or ethnical group, were massively murdered. To remember it shouldn´t be a way to increase the hunger for revenge, but to learn about the past and agree on that these facts should never happen again.

Stand on the roof of a mosque-house constructed by Mansur Escudero, a muslim convert who created in 1989 the first islamic organization in Spain, called Junta Islámica.
Rexhep Gashi, 60 years old, wearing a qeleshe, a white cap traditionally worn by Albanians, while he works for the travel company BeInKosovo at Germia Park, in Prishtina. He rules a farm at the outskirts of the city, where he has been living since he came back from Switzerland. He spent 20 years of his life there, as many other Kosovars who found in the alpine country a refuge to create a better life.

Street in one traditional neighborhood in the center of Shanghai which has been demolished to build skyscrapers which soon will host new offices and expensive apartments. This phenomenon is repeating all over the country during the last ten years. China is changing fast, it´s cities, it´s society, it´s way of living is getting far from the communist and developing into deep capitalist system.
