GUAVADOODLE IS OFFICIAL ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA ! 

I’ve finally been able to update all of my social media pages because branding for guavadoodle has been completed; thanks to @cesarte, a wonderful Florida-based graphic designer you can commission (and check out their work!), for the amazing work on this perfect guava logo (just in time for summer, too). If you’ve been following me on any social media up to this point, I want to say thank you so much for supporting my dream of being an artist, and coming to me for commissions, it genuinely fills me with a lot of love and a lot of purpose! 700 more followers until we reach 1K (which seems very far away, but who knows) but expect a giveaway then, I’ve got a lot of prints for sale that I’d love to gift you guys.

I can’t get enough of this album. I’ve been listening to it a couple times a week since it’s March release earlier this year and it has yet to get old. A Guide to the Birdsong of South America features some of the continent's most talented young musicians and producers - each artist using a recorded sample of an endangered species from their country to create an original track. Each song has it’s own unique atmospheric sound, but all blend beautifully together one after the other. An amazing soundscape experience for when you’re working at the computer or enjoying a peaceful weekend forgetting everything around you.

The talented designer and illustrator Scott Partridge, created the incredible designs for all of the bird species, along with the cover artwork. He’s made a name for himself through his unique designs - by using vibrant colors and transforming animals into biomorphic shapes. Scott’s work is inspired by natural history illustrators like John James Audubon and Charley Harper but also draws on surrealist painters like Miró.

I love when I come across vintage design from Venezuela. These luggage labels are from the 50’s - 60′s and were used as a small way to advertise hotels. The illustrations, color combinations and typography of these things are incredible and to think they were all created by hand - is amazing! If I ever got something like this tagged to my luggage I would flip, it would seriously complete the trip. Something so simple and common as a luggage label can be designed so well that it makes you want to hang on to it forever. I could look at these things all day. Such a great source of inspiration!

What better way to start off the césarte blog than by showing some love to one of my favorite designers, Nedo Mion Ferrario, better known as Nedo, M.F. He has always been a huge source of inspiration, I am constantly blown away each time I view his work. Considered a pioneer of graphic design in Venezuela, Nedo was not only a prolific designer, but also a skilled watercolorist and illustrator. He designed sixty typefaces for use on posters, brochures and logos, some of them within the family called Impossible. His passion for impossible shapes and making geometric optical illusions are the main characteristics of his work.
