Saighdear ( Translation: soldier ), as the name suggests, was the faction responsible for the fall of the Star-eaters. In a war, there are always the thinkers ā those who plan elaborate strategies and counter-attacks; and then, there are the doers ā the movers, the ones that set these brainchildren into motion. Saighdears belong to the latter, and they worked hand-in-hand with the Fitheach faction. Having the ability to manipulate cosmic-earth, they possessed the upper hand in combating the mighty four.Ā
Basically, members of this faction can manipulateĀ all earthly matter existing in the cosmos such as rocky celestial bodies, interstellar dust or any other celestial earthly related matter, including planets, moons, asteroid belts, meteors, etc. This ability could be applied in:
Earth Manipulation
Nebula Manipulation
Planetary Manipulation
Space Rock Manipulation
Stardust Manipulation
Meteor Summoning
In the Great War of Avorim, it is said that they absorbed a huge part of the cosmic minerals buried deep in the land of the Star-eaters. They caused meteor storms, major quakes, shifts in tectonic plates, and expansion of its core until hot, molten metals and minerals get ejected and erupted onto the surface. Any advancements, be it architectural or technological, were destroyed in the process. And these attacks, thanks to the bright minds of the thinkers of Tine an Ghrian and the intelligence acquired by the stealthy and fearless Fitheach spies, came in waves and phases, so as to ensure complete take-over. It is also believed that during the wars waged between the Tine an Ghrian and the Fitheach factions, the latter had enlisted the help of Saighdearās finest army in their series of onslaughts. This eventually took a toll on the land, leading to the unstable core of Caeqruesdya.
While other factions have had evolutions in regards to their leadership and ruling party, Saighdearās original government remained and is considered by all as a totalitarian dictatorship. A totalitarian dictatorship government has total control of mass communications, and social and economic organisations -- meaning, the government holds absolute control over the society and seeks to control all aspects of public and private life wherever possible. So if a particular member of the community desires to do something, they would have to get the approval from a committee set up to regulate public activities. This form of government is almost similar to Earthās North Korea and it is led by General Duurendt.
Just like the warriors of Fitheach, every masculine descendant is immediately drafted into the military once they become of age. However, their placements and rankings vary according to the family unit, which is determined by their genetic makeup. For instance, colonies of Tine an Ghrian are determined by their colours; but in this case, every time a star is born, a sample of its ichor is retrieved and the starling is assigned to its unit. These units are formed based on the percentage of abilities they possess and how diverse they are. Complete control is necessary to avoid chaos and it is a component strongly upheld in this community.

Somehow theyād managed to miss the strangers stare, most likely since their own eyes were still studying the way her lips moved, the way her hair glistened differently to the other humans, as if there were hundreds of thousands of lights upon her, highlighting her very being. Usuke had no doubt that she was someone else, or rather something else, and it had left them oblivious to the fact that their disguise was certainly under risk of exposure too ā even if the other gave no hint of her knowledge. Perhaps their flustered stuttering had been enough of a human mask to disguise it⦠but did the alien really want to hide? Would it burden them that much to speak so freely of themselves, their people⦠her people? Definitely not. It had been too long since theyād shared their world, and truly speaking, theyād give anything to talk about their home for just a day. Alas, how were they supposed to explain themselves? Maybe it was a waiting game between the two, until they could speak honestly. The two of them were complete strangers, after all.
āWhich area?āĀ Usuke repeated. Oh⦠specificity wasnāt a factor in their calculations, their expression faltering as they thought. The alienās brain working over-time to decide which one might truly have enough information to satisfy their research.Ā āAll of it.ā They blurted out, nodding their head with a certain enthusiasm. āItās⦠Itās all very helpful for my project.āĀ They justified rather poorly. Yet it was true, the knowledge of humans was inevitably limited; the humanoid knew that. Nevertheless, it was all vital. Essential to understanding how they work and how they learn, let alone how far theyāve progressed over their evolution. The short pause the being left was filled with their furrowed brow, eyes trained over the books across the counter,Ā āPerhaps I should start with planets. But do you have books on astrology too? I still havenāt heard a lot about it.. Compared to other fields, that is.ā Ā They had no idea exactly why she had suggested it, and still their interest piqued, knowing the field of astrology was one they had barely touched on, something accidentally shelved in their mind and saved for later ā until now, of course.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā I would require more information on the project you are working on in order for me to narrow my search, ā sheĀ responded in a tone that resembled a matter-of-fact one, but if one were to listen with sharp ears, they would notice that her voice was laced with the faintest hint of warmth. The librarian was no stranger to showing affection but this feeling seemed so foreign now, almost distant -- much like her home. And despite the buzzing thrill coursing through her veins and the soft hum resonating in the confinements of her rib cage, her expression remained stoic, professional. Placing the recently checked out books in one corner, she got out of her seat and minced out from behind her desk, stopping a few feet in front of her patron.Ā ā Follow me, ā came her instruction next as she wasted not a second more before resuming her steps.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Leading the way, a veil of momentary silence dropped over the two beings; the librarian attempting to choose her next couple of words wisely, though it should be known by now how strongly she felt about the lack of information on her kind.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Unfortunately, most of the astrology books we have dabble too much on how planetary movements affect human behaviour and ultimately, their future. ā There was a certain hardness to her soft voice, an edge that was not present in their initial exchange of words.Ā ā The only thing that classifies them as astrology are their contents detailing the visibility of stars in the night sky at different periods of the year. ā She had at least expected some material about their origins besides the scientific explanation of their birth. It was an injustice to her kind, considering the libraryās extensive collection on theology and the various beliefs of mankind.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Making a swift turn into an isle on her left, just past the one with the sign readingĀ āTheologyā above it, her legs carried her towards the end to a row of shelves with empty pockets between wide spines, spaces previously occupied by the books now sitting comfortably on the counter.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā I am afraid you have taken the last few books that were left unborrowed, ā she remarked, eyes scanning title after title on the uppermost shelf until they landed on one pertaining to the visitorās request. She reached out then, only to have her hand stopping a few inches short. On instinct, she stood on the tips of her toes, hoping they would provide the leverage she needed to retrieve the volume. It did not help much though, and she knew that she would require a step stool for this task. Falling back to her feet on flat floor, she faced the visitor, a tinge of redness on pale cheeks as embarrassment seeped into her flesh, and apologised,Ā ā If you would excuse me, Ā I will return to you in a moment. ā

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Her sire had once told her that fear was a choice, that it was nothing but an extension of the imagination. In an instance when it came down to fight or flight, that would be the turning of point -- the time when one had to choose either to let fear overpower them and flee for their life, or overcome their terror and use it to their advantage. Much similar to humans, celestial beings have chemicals in their burning ichor of silver that could help them see clearly and act rightfully in dire moments, but this could only be accomplished with a sharp mind. One that is intoxicated or under a spell, is already a lost cause. Even so, if one were to choose not to feel fear, they still had to bear in the depths of their mind that danger was still very real and it was imminent, especially in the war.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā But here, on Earth, in a land so foreign to the star, what precious advice and wise words once uttered by her sire, had decided to slip through the cracks of her brain, only to breed a great amount of panic. She, who had looked death in the eye -- not once; not twice; no, the numbers had multiplied more than twenty-fold -- could be seen floundering in a situation where she was rendered incapable to fend for herself; for the biggest threat now was her very self, the fear reflected evidently in her eyes, and time -- there was only so long she could hold her breath, and that was in a tranquil state of mind.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā So when aid came in the form of a kind being -- she could not determine who, for her eyes were teary and her lungs felt like they were in flames -- she was more than willing to allow them to lay their hands on her, wrap their arms around her torso, and perform a few thrusts that Elara swore could also result in the expulsion of her insides. The ache she felt on her abdomen was nothing compared to the slash of a blade on her calf, nor the piercing of an arrow tip on her left shoulder, and if she could bear with those, then this was nothing. She trusted in the person who was trying to help her, and she believed in their ability to spare her life from the clutches of death one more time.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Though alertness and the ability to think straight seemed to escape with her heavy, laboured breathing, she, who had full sense, full consciousness of her every part, every cell, perceived something rather peculiar in this moment of desperate urgency. She was very certain that the wriggling bit she downed was lodged completely in her throat, that it wholly occupied what limited space in there. The abdominal thrusts applied should push the chunk out; instead she could have sworn that it slid out of place, as if it could be done as easily as shoving her chopsticks down the base of her throat and extract it. But could she really rely on what her mind was perceiving when it was befuddled with waves of fear and panic?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A final strong thrust from the other eventually managed to make her expel to piece of tentacle out, the chunk shooting out of her mouth onto the ground. The moment she stopped struggling for air, applause could be heard coming from the circle of civilians who had gathered round to witness the commotion. Straightening up, with the pride of royalty on her spine, she believed that she owed this person a thank you for jumping in to her rescue. Once she had regained what remaining composure she had left, rid her eyes of tears, and wiped her lips of uncouth drool, she spun around to express her gratitude only to come to a halt when her gaze fell on a lovely lady with bright colours flooding out of her frame, making her stand out from the crowd of similar, blending colours around them. What were the odds of encountering another extraterrestrial being who would be her saviour?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā For a fleeting moment, she stood in silence, mind forming a mental barricade to block out all other noises so she could collect her thoughts, connect them to the evidence staring her in the face, and align them to facts. She was glad to meet yet another one of the unEarthly dwellers, but she would have to wait and keep it to herself until she could find a suitable time to confront them about it. Finally remembering her manners, she dipped her head before the other and vocalised her gratitude, instead of leaving it a moment longer to reside in her quieting chest.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā You saved me, āĀ she began,Ā ā I owe you my life. ā My sire is indebted to you too, was what she would have said next, but she let it linger on the tip of her tongue, dissolved into ghosts of unspoken words.

Fitheach ( Translation: raven ) is the second of the seven factions. This faction is known for their ability to manipulate darkness. Members of this faction can create, shape, and manipulate darkness and shadows. By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs and weapons, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows, etc.
When the factions were first created, soldiers of Fitheach had a pivotal role in acquiring information with their ability to blend in where no light dared touch. They were and still are great warriors, and there is not a single faction nor colony that could match their unconditional sense of loyalty for one another. They would kill and die for the good of their faction in a heartbeat, no questions asked. So when the ruling of Caeqruesdya fell into the hands of Tine an Ghrian, the descendants of this faction swore to do whatever it takes to claim the power that they believe belongs rightfully to them; for without their intelligence,Ā Avoriāe AstrƦ would not have been able to defeat his five brothers. Kotos the conqueror, used to be a commander for this faction, until his pride and greed cost him his position. He was banished -- as decreed by Fitheachās high advisers -- and his loyal followers followed him to the ends of the universe.
Warriors of this faction are highly-skilled in what they do. Unlike other factions, each being born to this faction can only possess one application of this ability. Hence, they are assigned with specific roles within the military the moment they are awoken. The more powerful the power, the smaller the number of beings possessing it, and this shortage could sometimes be as bad as only two warriors per power. The most common power -- which is possessed by their common soldiers -- would be umbrakinetic combat. Applications of this ability include:
Create/generate/increase, absorb, shape and manipulate darkness/shadow for various effects, sizes, shapes and intensity levels. Depending of the level of strength, one can blanket an entire city, country or world in eternal darkness.
Absolute Darkness
Darkness "Mist"
Light Absorption
Shadow Camouflage/Cloaking
Darkness Adaptation
Night Vision
Darkness Attacks
Darkness Solidification via controlling darkness/shadowĀ
Animating/manipulate darkness/shadow, whether users own or cast by anything else.
Tentacles/tendrils, chains and/or threads to attack or bind.
Umbrakinetic Constructs, including weapons, walls, armor or allies/servants.
Flight/Levitation
Shadow Marionette
Dark Portal Creation/Umbrageous Teleportation using darkness/shadow by understanding the fundamental connection all shadows/darkness share.
Dimensional Storage to store stuff into darkness/shadow, user may be able to enter their own pocket dimension. When the user realizes from where they draw their power, they can enter there and summonĀ beings/tools from there.
Darkness Aura
Darkness Empowerment
Darkness Healing
Shadow Mimicry
Shadow Mutilation
Shadow Stealth
Umbrakinetic Combat
Umbrakinetic Regeneration
Unlike Tine an Ghrian, they are born into the life of a warrior. So far, no one has expressed any objections to their destined way of living. If ever evidence is needed to show how loyalty can be encrypted in a beingās DNA, this faction is living proof of such. Despite beingĀ sworn enemies of the Tine an Ghrian faction, conflicts between members of the faction itself very rarely happens. If it actually happens, which it would once in a blue moon, the favouring results would usually fall to those with a higher position in the community.

Theoretical research day. That was the tediously titled plan for Usukeās day. Although there was no doubt that the alien took pleasure in exploring the facts of the Earth, it was crystal clear that they favoured practical research above all. Nonetheless, delving into a handful of books for a day wasnāt exactly a painful task, and so Usuke sought to boost their enthusiasm by selecting a few space books from the libraryās seemingly vast expansion. āI wonder how much these humans knowā¦ā The being wondered, always hearing that the people of Earth believed they had made a substantial amount of discoveries, but the alien scoffed at that thought, flicking through a few pages of each heavy text book to make their decision ā all the while thankful that the Amerath could never be as oblivious as this planet. Even with the humans clear lack of knowledge, Usuke was never one to rush when it came to their libraries, and after spending hours switching from section to section, stopping shortly by Ā history for some light reading, and even making time to browse the most bizarre ā at least in their opinion ā books, found in the āself-helpā section, they made their way to the counter to check-out their armful of research. āJust these, thank you.ā The being spoke, placing a few of the books onto the counter before they glanced up to see the face of the librarian. Except⦠their eyes met with no ordinary woman, in fact, she was almost glowing. Her skin was incomparable to the other earthlings Usuke had come across in his three years, without a flaw in sight, as if she was the very essence of galaxies combined. The alien felt almost like the human males theyād observed time and time again, gawking after a woman in the street, and it was absurd, to stoop to the level of a human.. but it seemed they were far too lost in the deep eyes of the stranger across the counter to notice. At least until she spoke, her voice almost scolding, hand giving a gentle pull on the book they had forgotten to release,
ā You Ā can let go now.ā
And at that their human cheeks turned a soft shade of pink, releasing the book their head bowing in apology as they searched for an excuse, an explanation for behaving like a common earthling, āIām sorry⦠I was just wonderingā thinkingāā Usuke stuttered, fumbling in his head for a translation of their reasoning, āAbout these books⦠would you be able to recommend better ones?ā They asked, hopeful to observe exactly who this stranger in front of him was, if only for a few more minutes.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā For about an hour now, her eyes had been glued to the pages of a book which she picked up from among the pile in the return box. There was nothing in particular about the title nor the cover that had piqued her interest in it in the first place. Instead, it was the ever-expanding list of girls reading and borrowing the book that had her curious, made her wonder what was so special about it that garnered it a huge following. Never did she expect it to be this good, this riveting, that it erased every other chore she had accumulated in mind to be done later, only to make her warm her seat, flesh of her lower lip captured between pearly whites as she flipped page after page, eager to follow how the plot progressed.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā...soft as the delicate velvet of petals.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A flicker of recognition flashed before the librarianās features, dimming her aurum eyes, and bringing forth a wave of red to her pale cheeks.Ā At this particular page, she was well aware of what was happening, and it embarrassed her at just the thought of it; vivid imaginations running free, untamed, exploring every extent, barely grazing their limits. She was so absorbed in the novel that she hardly noticed the presence of a person in front of her -- that was until the sound of books being placed on the counter top finally broke the spell the book had cast on her, snapping her to the present, reminding her that she still had a responsibility to shoulder. Lowering her head just the slightest, she let her cropped, silver hair cover her cheeks -- an attempt to hide the lingering blush. Quick to work, she scanned the books until there was one more, still held firm in the hand of the patron.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā All is well, ā she muttered, gaze fixed on the person before her, reading him intently. There was something different about the visitor and it took a couple of silent seconds to pass before it eventually registered in her brain -- he was not human. It then occurred to her that there were probably many others out there; it was just a matter of discovering. Though the identity of that being in the form of a human male no longer remained a secret -- at least not to her -- she made no sign, not even the smallest of indications to acknowledge this information. Instead, she shifted her eyes downwards to the other books in his borrow list.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā I assume you are interested in astronomy, ā came her deduction as she glossed over the titles.Ā ā Which area are you focussing on? Earth, planets? Physics of the universe? Or maybe astrology? āĀ Her last point probably had very little to do with his study, but it would not hurt to inject a little incentive to read about her race.
miosots:
āYes!ā She smiled and nodded right away, standing up to help her with the papers spread around the other tables and gathering them before leaving in a locker under her counter. She didnāt feel ignored at all; actually, Ana knew that it was hard to take care of a library, that always seemed to be much harder than the book store that she worked at.
Grabbng her bag and her notebooks, the necromancer lead her out of the library and opened the car for her before sliding into the driver seat, turning the car on to drive away from the park lot. The streets werenāt completely empty, but still seemed dangerous. Nothing that she would worry too much.Ā āSo⦠Continue your story!āĀ
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A soft chuckle escaped the librarianās lips, amusement settling within the crinkles on the outer edges of her eyes. She, Ana, was so much like a youngling, ever-curious and always excited for a new tale. And Elara was the perfect person for such as she had encountered countless of saga traders back in her kingdom. Making sure that she had everything locked up securely, she walked alongside the human girl in silence as she led the way to her vehicle. It was a nice change to be given a ride home instead of having to rely on her two feet as usual, though she would miss conversing with the stars along the path.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Well then, ā she began, hands deftly at work at fastening her seat belt.Ā āĀ The king, who was deeply saddened that he had no replacement for his throne, placed his beautiful princess on the top floor of a very tall tower and announced that the man who could reach the princess on a horse and could take the ring from her finger would win her hand in marriage and rule the land. Ivanushka, of course, called upon the help of the magical stallion, Sivka-Burka. ā A pause, followed by a hint of a smile.Ā ā What do you reckon happened next? ā Ā Ā
fromouterspxce:
[ š½ ] --Ā Libraries were a place of sanctuary, a pillar of hope for the introvert, who found more power in the written word than in himself. They were quiet, and smelled of a familiar dust, that could only be found within the confines of older novels. It was Iseul's favorite smell, and someone as book obsessed as he could note the different scent levels from place to place. So far, this particular building was his favorite, simply for the delight it caused to tingle within his nostrils. And also because of its extensive collection of books on UFOs and the supernatural.
It was a calming place. The best for settling down and submerging himself into the paranormal, though he could easily do that at home, but it was easier in a place buzzing with human life (albeit silent human life), and a solid Wi-Fi connection. Surrounded by a stack of novels, some he already owned and read over to death, some he had not been able to come across in a bookstore or online. Most of the information from the books had already been lodged into his brain, that they weren't needed, but Iseul enjoyed simply having them nearby. Inspiration came to him that much quicker, when related materials were within his reach.
But something -- or rather someone -- kept him from completely losing himself to his work. Try as he might, the feeling of being watched refused to leave him, his shoulders scrunching up in mild distaste due to this fact. And Iseul was paranoid enough as it was, refusing to sleep at night, without some form of light and locked doors. So, when the feeling of having someone behind him refused to leave, he turned, only to find a girl watching his laptop screen very closely. The presence of another human, or human seeming being, was almost more frightening than a supernatural creature to the antisocial male. "Can I help you?" he muttered, hardly above a whisper.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā So this latest patron appeared to have a particular interest on the subject of extraterrestrial life -- at least that was the impression she perceived based on her observations alone. It did help that the blog he was working on also seemed to support this assumption of hers. Perhaps, if he was knowledgeable enough, then she could somehow latch onto him -- figuratively, and probably literally if she deemed it fit -- to gain more information regarding the species he knew of or had a personal encounter with. Imagine how easier this would make her mission be. And she was thinking about all of these endless possibilities when a soft voice broke through her concentration barricade.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā It caught her off guard, made her flustered of her failed attempt of stealth; cheeks flushed, words tumbled out of her lips carelessly. ā I-- In fact, yes. Yes, you can. ā She had not thought it through -- what she would tell him, or rather what piece of information and how much she could share with him. There was no indicator as to how much he already knew or if he could tell that she was one of them. Given the sudden interruption and the pressure to respond in that fleeting moment, she would have to work with what she had gained so far, and that was not much either.Ā In order to learn the extent of his expertise and familiarity of the current subject, she would have to prompt him further.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Are you some sort of extraterrestrial researcher? āĀ she inquired both as a friendly opening statement and out of curiosity. It could just be a hobby of sorts, a rather peculiar pastime which she gathered from the number of people she had encountered in the past year. An enthusiast could only bring her so far; it was a true analyst, an operative, someone equipped with the right skills and a strong grasp of her kind that would lead her to something worthwhile.Ā ā If so, then I do believe that I hold vital intelligence pertaining to that matter. ā And this was the part where she knew a bargain, an exchange, a give-and-take from both parties, was crucial for the benefit of each other.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Well, are you? ā

Since coming to Earth, one of the biggest transitions Lusine had to make was in terms of food. Staples on Balah existed here but in forms that were only vaguely reminiscent and not always considered edible by human standards. In order to broaden her horizons, the redhead tried to branch out and not eat the same foods over and over. When her boss suggested she go to the seafood market and pick up something for dinner, she was actually rather intrigued.Ā
The, usually refreshing, smell of the ocean was overwhelming and nearly suffocating in this place. Stalls were crammed together, and their wares were in various stages of, well, alive waiting to be bought up. Still, despite the odor, it was fascinating to see all the different creatures, most of them for the first time. The woman fluttered around, peering into tanks and asking what were probably really silly sounding questions more likely to come from a child.
āUwahh~ā her dark eyes widened to the size of saucers at a specimen that actually looked familiar. The sign readĀ āgaebulā and the vendor was an older man who seemed rather surprised by her sudden interest in his product. He offered to cut her up a sample, and who was she to refuse? Grinning, she bounced excitedly in place and clapped her hands together as she thanked him brightly in sing-song. Maybe Earth food wasnāt all foreign, after all!
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Slender fingers curled firmly around braided straps attached to the paper shopping bag. Elaraās heart was swelling, elation brimming, and her emotions were clearly reflected on her face: a content smile lifting the corners of her lips with a faint blush dusting her cheeks. As any normal human women in their early twenties, Elara found delight in spending her paycheck on the seasonās latest fashion -- or rather, on her very own tastes: dresses with frills and laces which accentuated the innocence of a womanās heart, although that was not the reason she liked them. It was actually the fact that these did not exist in her birthplace that attracted her to the apparels in the first place.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Steps light, almost airy, she travelled along a path leading to a street occupied by lively tented vendor carts -- a paradise for the craving palates.Ā āStreet foodā was what the locals called these servings sold fresh out of the pan to hungry patrons. Though some of the cooking did strike a fair semblance to the ones she used to have on the royal table, most of them looked foreign to her, and the same could be said regarding the aroma they emitted. Her sense of smell may find some to be quite sharp and unpleasant, but the protests of her growling stomach contradicted this, driving her mind into a confused frenzy. And as much as she feared whether the taste would not please her, she had to give in to the pleas of hunger that threatened to cause her pain.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Approaching a rather busy stall with bustling customers and billowing smoke, she barely managed to squeeze through the erect bodies of men and women, young and old alike, and seated herself on one of the empty seats. She placed her order -- as in pointing on a random word on the laminated piece of paper. To her surprise, she was served with a dish of moving tentacles not more than five minutes after, deeming it quick considering the number of people waiting in line. She was also given a pair of chopsticks, which she accepted rather hesitantly. After mumbling some sort of prayer ( a habit she had picked up from her dear Earth-dwellers ) she dug into the delicacy, bringing the squirming limb to eye level before sliding it into her mouth.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Oh sire, it tastes awful!
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Though her tongue screamed to be let out of this Earthly torture, having its soft surface coated in this oozing, slippery-like substance among being sucked by the wriggling and very alive creature, the star could still maintain a smile of gratitude upon being addressed by the owner. She gave the old lady a quick nod and a thumbs-up sign as she began to chew, hoping it would somehow dissolve within her mouth straightaway so she would not have to swallow it. It did not though, and she had to get rid of it one way or another. She could not possibly spit it out for that would be rude of her, and so she resorted to the most logical way -- swallow it quickly and get it over with.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Of course, she did not anticipate that it would get lodged in her throat like a lump of rubber. None of them did. A bout of coughs came from the star, her immediately getting on both feet, neck clasped in her hands, body shaking vigorously. She was bending over, trying to get the thing out and actually get a gasp of air, but the panic filling every inch of her body only seemed to make it worse. Without intending to, she had caused a commotion right there, but not a single person dared to take a step closer. Her head was beginning to spin and she could feel her clutch loosening with each passing second. Was this how she was destined to die -- not in the hands of a cruel enemy but by the fragmented limb of a squid?

She meant well, he knew that. But so had countless of other people heād met prior to meeting her for the first time; and whatever had kept her in his life had supposedly managed to get her to care for his well-being too, in some sort of twisted way he didnāt quite understand. Someone like Donghae didnāt deserve empathy nor other people worrying over him so naturally, his lack of comprehension turned visible on pale features: at the way he gazed at the blonde with a look of utter confusion hidden behind a pair of dark orbs,
āYou know you donāt have to do this.ā
It was less of a statement and more of a forceful warning uttered through clenched teeth as he kept applying pressure to the bloody wound on his neck with a dirty cloth; he knew of the risks and the part of him that possessed enough medicial knowledge screamed at him to get rid of the filthy cloth and replace it with clean water and, at best, a clean scarf or something to keep the blood from spilling out. But this was a luxury he couldnāt quite afford and what with the dizziness he felt, Donghae was glad he still managed to hold himself without falling unconscious.
Hence him feeling uneasy about this situation in its entirety. For all he cared, she was no part of his business and he had no intentions of dragging her with him when he saw no need in tainting what innocence and goodness she possessed but unintentionally, he had done so just by interacting with her. Wasnāt it odd? He felt uncomfortable just at the mere thought of it, but his mind went blank when another wave of pain hit him.
āListen to me, you can just go. I donāt need you to get your hands dirty here, Iāll patch myself up. Just stay away, okay?ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Open, lock down, repeat. Open, lock down, repeat. Elaraās life consisted of routines and monotonous duties as a librarian. She did not particularly like it, but she did not hate it either. For a being whose mind was constantly plagued by worries and elaborate plans of where to be and who to speak with in the past, a change of pace seemed like a blessing. If anything, she welcomed the solitude the library provided, and the order organising books on shelves brought to her regular day-to-day life. The people she met however, added a little spice, a sprinkle of colour to her world of black and white; and today, it appeared in the form of an acquaintance: Donghae.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Twisting the little key in place right beneath the door, her ears caught the faint sound of shuffling soles against the tar road behind. It was no more louder than the soft click of the lock sliding into place but it alarmed her nevertheless as it was far into the night, work keeping her desk-bound for extra hours. What she saw next as she turned amplified the previously ringing alarm in her head, legs instantly carrying her towards the figure looming in the dimly-lit street. She would know him in darkness -- she would know anyone in the darkness as long as there was a sliver of light around for her eyes to maintain focus.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā He was bleeding and she was trying to help --
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā No, I am here to help you whether you like it or not, ā she insisted upon having her benevolence denied. Irritation was clearly written all over her face when he tried to push her away, like she was some stranger who just happened to pass by the accident site. If there was a word to describe the star, it would be āpersistentā, and it showed through the glow of her bright, golden eyes, and the adamant purse of her lips. This one was not going to back down that easily, at least not without a fight.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Registering how damp the cloth had become beneath the pressure of his palm, she removed the scarf wound snugly around her slender neck and replaced the cloth with it. A wound of that size needed to be tended to immediately, and it almost drove her to the edge at how indifferent he seemed to be -- save for the occasional wince and grimace. Was he not worried the slightest bit? Because she was, even if she did not know him all that well.

AU in which Suzy has been stuck in Wonderland for as long as she could remember until another girl -- Elara -- goes down the rabbit hole. Together, they try to overcome every obstacle thrown their way to escape this beautiful yet sinister setting where the line distinguishing reality from fantasy is getting thinner by the second.

Tine an Ghrian ( Translation: fire of the sun ) is the faction the Navixu colony belongs to. There are altogether seven factions in total: i) Tine an Ghrian, ii) Fitheach, iii) Saighdear, iv) Leòmhann, v) Perses, vi) Ā Bean nuadh-phòsda, and vii) Athair. The faction, Tine an Ghrian, is characterised by their light elemental powers. In the case of Elaraās, she has the ability to manipulate cosmic fire -- a type of fire that could not be extinguished by any means. Basically, all colonies of the Tine an Ghrian faction has the ability to manipulateĀ cosmic flames that are given off from comets, meteors, asteroids, stars, planets, nebulas, quasars, suns, and solar winds. The intensity of the flames they produceĀ is so high that they can completely vaporize any matter without leaving byproducts such as ash.Ā
Dubbed as the fire nation, the warriors and summoners of this faction are well-skilled in fire attacks. Applications of this ability include and are not limited to:
Expanding Fire Bolts: Project fire that expands rapidly on contact with an object.
Fire Ball Projection: Create and launch spheres of fire.
Fire Beam Emission: Release beams of fire.
Fire Bolt Projection: Release low powered projectiles of fire.
Fire Blast: Release fire over a specific target area.
Fire Bomb Generation: Create bombs/explosions of fire.
Fire Breath: Discharge fire from the mouth.
Fire Bullet Projection: Fire in short sequence over a wide area.
Fire Cutting: Use fire to cut opponents.
Fire Infusion: Empower and energize anything touched or used (usually a weapon) with fire.
Fire Pillar Projection: Project fire pillars.
Fire Spike Projection: Project fire spikes.
Fire Stream Projection: Create fire streams.
Fire Vortex Creation: Create spiral/vortex of fire.
Fire Wave Emission: Send out a wave of fire that repels everything.
Flaming Surface: Cause surfaces to emit flames.
Formulated Fire Blasts: Release blasts of fire in a form of a creature or object.
Hand Blasts: Discharge fire from hands.
Heat Vision: Emit fire from one's eyes.
Hidden Attacks: Channel attacks through a medium.
Missile Generation: Create missiles of fire.
Omnidirectional Fire Waves: Send out a wave of fire in all directions.
Reflective Attacks: Release attacks of fire that can bounce off of any surface.
Scatter Shot: Release flame blasts that split into multiple fragments.
Sword Beam Emission: Release fire blasts from swords and other such bladed weapons.
Wave Motion Blast: Launch a massive wave of fire.
Zap: A tiny short release of fire to cause pain or discomfort, usually too low-powered to be destructive.
Most of the chosen warriors ( they were chosen by the High Supreme and trained ) have the ability to absorbĀ fire, while removing it from the source, into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage, either by enhancing themselves, gaining the drained power, and/or using it as power source. Those who do not possess such an ability are provided with enchanted armours that protect and heal them to the best of their magical abilities. Spells could be countered easily by more powerful summoners so the use of these enchanted armours are not heavily-reliable. Skills still play a pivotal role on the battle grounds.
Not all factions participate actively in wars. However, every wise leader takes into account the history of their existence and the boiling, silver blood that naturally runs in their veins; hence, they would always have the best warriors ever-ready if the situation calls for it. These warriors are usually selected at the age as young as nine to sixteen ( Earth years ). In some factions, once a warrior has been selected, there is no way to decline as the penalty for such disobedience would result in a beheading of the whole family.
