what i was saying last night (even when it was the wrong voice lol) still lowkey applies…the lines feel more…raw delivered in english and smoothed over in the french dub. like when he says “no! no, my love” it sounds more emotionally intense in the english version, like it’s scratching at his throat/he cannot contain the pain he feels, which answers my question i guess that like would he make the same acting choices in both languages and the answer is he tries but the it still translates a little differently. i wanna be really clear this is no dig at him or his acting it’s just very fascinating to me the minor differences in the delivery of the lines between the two languages, and it’s easy to tell because it’s the same actor both times.
