jfc, during breaks/lunch at work, I am reading the screenplay of the two hour final Borgias film - The Borgia Apocalypse - that Neil Jordan would have made IF Showtime's TPTB would've been willing to fund it...

...and it's gripping. And quintessential Borgias. And very dark!Cesare.

(Like, super ultra dark. I mean, we pretty much knew he had it in him; we've seen that much already across the seasons - but goddamn.)

(And yet at the same time, a strategic Machiavellian part of my brain is like, 'well, that tactic did work' ...while the rest of my normal brain recoils in horror)

It's interesting, too, that Cesare's propensity for violence, torture, and killing worsens while Micheletto loses his taste for both.

And, tho I'm a basic Cesare/Lucrezia bitch, I always felt some slashy vibes between Cesare and Micheletto (I blame François Arnaud, lol; that man could have chemistry with a rock imo!) - and their reunion scene did nothing to dispel that; it only encouraged it, ffs!

I'm not yet at the reunion of Cesare and Lucrezia - and I gotta say, I'm on pins and needles for that.
