Not enough people think of money as representation of work done. If it takes you a week to earn 500 dollars and the government takes $500 from you, they have in effect enslaved you for a week. People are paying a lot more than $500 a year to the state. People just don’t think about it but when you do the math and relate it to hours worked…half your life is spent in slavery to the state minimum.

Hey can you come into work today and do an 8 hour shift? We’re only going to pay you for about 3.5 hours though. 100% of people tell that boss to go fuck themselves but like 90% of people will defend taxes even conservatives who claim to hate them will defend it eventually.

It’s the same fucking thing thats what taxes are but worse because the people taking the money you earn are not the people paying you and you have no say in how its used. Imagine if your boss one day was just like alright today half your paycheck is going to crackheads who didn’t work today, and then the next day hes like ok half your paycheck today is going to some pedophile politicians so they can run an ad campaign about how much they care about you.
