sometimes alecto wonders if she walks around with a sign above her head that broadcasts exactly how sheโs feeling. then she realizes the sign is her face, a reason sheโs never been a great liar but always a fantastic actress if needed. having renier of all people point it out just made her feel that much worse about it.ย โitโs nothing,โ she shrugs off, looking up at him with a cold stare. an attempt to be emotionless so they he might leave her be with her misery right now. she really wanted to talk to hayden first about it before anyone else.

something about her frustration peaks interest in alecto and they canโt help but raise a hand at the question. if one thing alecto understood it would be thriving on the fear that others had about them. the familiar lounge singer makes her think of another, a growing smile at the thought of her.ย โself defense or do you want to actually kick their ass ? because thatโs two different things in my book.โ

โ โฆ ยฐ โพ adelaide kane + demigirl + she/they โ have you met alecto kovaksย ? they are a twenty eight year old known around town as the pyromaniac. theyโve been in the gang life for ten years, and currently work for the gang as an assassin. they are a demiseuxal scorpio, which means they are ambitious + loyal, as well as volatile + closed-off. smudged black eyeliner, chipped nail polish, the smell of fresh coffee in the morning.ย
โ โ early life โ
alecto never had an easy life early on. she was born to a drug addict mother and a car thief father, who was sent to jail just after her birth. their mother, consumed by her addiction, physically abandoned the two when alecto was just fourteen years old, though she was never a present parent in the first place.
when hayden started stealing, alecto tried her best to keep him out of trouble and watch his back so neither of them ended up in the system ( foster care and/or jail ). she likes to think she did well enough to keep them safe, she just needs to know that it wasnโt all on hayden to keep them alive. guilt often sits heavy in her chest about how horrible their lives were, she often blames her being around for haydenโs bad hand in life.
where hayden had been in the gang longer than alecto, it wasnโt exactly by choice. balthazar told her she wasnโt able to join where she wanted until after she was eighteen, something about him feeling less than stellar about a kid killing for him. so when they finally turned eighteen, alecto was granted the status in the gang she wanted.ย
alecto now feels itโs their turn to protect hayden and does the dirtier work so that their brother can live and peaceful and nicer life than where they started. most of their money from the jobs they do goes into a savings account for hayden and his husband should the two ever want to leave and start a new life. while alecto would be sad about him leaving, the guilt of their lives weigh them down into doing what they do now.
something about killing really sparks some life into them and rarely does any type of remorse happen for the jobs or blood on their hands. a deadly combination: great at what they do and with no care about the after effects.ย
โ โ personality โ
somewhat friendly, alecto is fiercely loyal to the gang and because of it, most of the other members are usually on her good side. while itโs hard to gain her trust fully, once it happens alecto is on their side for the rest of time.
can be really egotistical about their accomplishments and often demand respect for what they do for the gang.ย
she runs on the fear from others, she loves the idea that they might be afraid of her. she wants people to fear her, to expect her to lash out at them unexpectedly. while alecto can be very volatile, it usually comes when angered or annoyed with someone or something.
despite all that, sheโs extremely loving towards her family and close friends, often dotting on them and hovering like a mother hen. loves to look after others and watch out for their well being.ย
will cook a meal for anyone that asks.ย
โ โ looks โ
sheโs five foot three, with dark wavy hair that is almost always flowing free. if in a single braid down her back, sheโs either coming or going to a job.
has a one tattoo: the outline of a sparrow on the back of her neck. rarely seen but means a lot to her.ย
mostly garbed in pants, boots, and leather jackets. sheโs not fashion forward or creative, just prefers comfort over any aesthetic. almost always in black with a little gray or red thrown in when someone tells her to wear color.ย
extremely pale skin, often to the point she can look sickly if others arenโt aware thatโs just how she always looks.
dark brown eyes, sometimes called doe-eyed.
always has painted nails, either black or white. simple and never with decoration.ย
