get it done the weird way. do it in parts. do it “wrong”. do it “late”. do it scared. it’s just better to do it differently than everyone else rather than never do it.

getting into your headspace can be tricky, hm? don't worry, it'll get easier again, you just need time!! but until then, here's some tips 💗 (these are geared toward smaller ages, if you need help getting into a tween/teen headspace, feel free to send an ask!!)
💫 tell yourself (gently, there's no pressure here) that you're going to regress and be small. even just stating that for yourself can get you kinda giddy and more open to regression - you can also write a little "guide" in the voice of a cg that you read when you wanna regress, that kind of guides you into regression - if any of you would like me to write something like that, let me know!! <33
🐕 snacks that fit your age are a classic, but they really do help!! and that doesn't mean you have to go out and buy lots of kids snacks (though i would definitely recommend trying it, having snacks that you normally wouldn't eat and got especially for regression can make getting small so much easier and something fun to look forward to)!! if you don't wanna buy new snacks:
-> 🎂 use small containers for what you're eating, like pouring crackers etc into small little bowls; cut up fruit and veggies into little pieces; drink out of a water bottle instead of a glass; depending on your age, eat things with softer textures like mashed banana, apple sauce, yoghurt... all those can make you feel so tiny!!
🪁 music!! listening to little space music gets me at least a little bit smaller almost right away - there's playlists on spotify and youtube, you can even find specific ones for your current energy level :))
☘️ get physically "smaller" - sit on blankets and pillows on the floor, curl up on your bed, pull up your knees when you're sitting on a chair, colour/write with your non-dominant hand... these might feel clumsy and acted at first, but they can really help to feel more "childish" - at the same time, please remember that these are ideas to get into headspace, you don't have to act like this while little!! regression is different for everyone <33
🧸 a lot of (especially older) cartoons are on youtube, i used to watch charlie and lola and hello kitty and friends a lot, but you can find something that fits you!!
-> 🌷 i also find that documentaries for kids work sooo well because you get both that childlike sense of wonder and learning and a narration that addresses you like you really are tiny (which you are!! >:)) )
🍭 this is very personal but i really love going on little walks - not so much in headspace because i don't like to be in public when regressed, but to get into it!! listen to your favourite agere music, try not to step on the cracks in the pavement, try to spot all the last flowers still blooming, jump on crackly autumn leaves... once you get home again, doing some of my other ideas might get you small :))
and please remember: sometimes it just doesn't work!! it's okay if regression is hard, it doesn't mean you've failed - sometimes your head just isn't in the right mood for getting small 🫶
