Where is the Love?

The other day my friend had me watch a documentary on Netflix called "Bully."  As you might be able to tell, this movie is about a few kids, and their families, and what they go through everyday being bullied.  The teachers and schools in the movie did nothing to help these poor kids.  They just "turned the other cheek" and pretended like it is not happening.  I can understand not wanting to get involved but these kids are preteens!  They need guidance and help to grow as people and learn right from wrong.  By the end of the movie, one of the kids, who was 11 years old committed suicide.  He felt there was no other option then to take his own life and it has just left me speechless.  He had no safe place to go for comfort.  He had no one helping help overcome the bullies.  He felt he had no one on his side and in my opinion left the world a sadder place without him in it.  

Overall the movie just reminded me how much hate, ignorance, and just downright injustice is still in this world and it frightens me.  If we do not teach young kids to love one another or show them by example to be open, forgiving, and warm people, how can we then expect to see the world change for the better?  Can't people realize that we do not need to hurt each other or ourselves to better the world, change our lives, and just be happy?

I know what I am saying has been said before but I just hope that one day things will be better for everyone.  I know I will never let bullying go by when I see it and if I see someone sitting alone I will always go join them.  A little love can go a much longer way than hate, and I hope that more people realize this soon.

Yes this song is great to party to but I also really like it because it reminds me that I am young and still have time to do so many things.  To me, one of the beauties of being young is that we can do things now that we can't when we're older so we must always take advantage. <3
