Surprisingly, both of the characters you mentioned here are one of the few that I haven’t decided which creature would better fit them as LMAO. I have atleast two options for both Rocket and Medkit but i’m pretty sure I already settled on what Medkit would be for this AU after thinking about it.
Love deerkit, absolutely great concept and had alot of ideas regarding the design for CritterFritters Deerkit but I honestly,, Backpedaled on it since theres already ALOT of deerkit stuff everywhere. Also thought about making him an avian too alongside Sword to further explore on their sibling dynamic but it just didn’t hit right for me due to his horns and the fact they were spawned in different regions in canon lore. It didn’t take me too long before I thought about choosing between Jackalope and Skvader Medkit and I KNEW I struck gold on that idea👀 I fear we’re lacking alot of bunny medkit in this fandom.
Eventually chose the Jackalope for him due to the horns but I have my other reasons too which I’ll delve into it in the future probably.
Oh this guy, I swear. It’s so hard trying to decide on a creature, much less FIND one for him. I wanted to make Rocket a land animal because my plan was to make Zuka a snow leopard until I fell into Orca!Zuka propaganda,,, Sorry gang. Aside from that reason, Rocket also did suit marine animals a lot more for me that I ended up choosing more than two options for him.
Flying Fish, Leopard seal, or Shark Rocket. Three good options and possible designs but I don’t wanna turn him into a whole hybrid abomination using those 3 choices and make shit difficult for me, so I might either settle on just one or two.
Dats it. Jackalope Medkit is official for this AU while i’m still figuring out Rocket.
