In that interview Adèle has said something that has been used and reposted a lot in french (social) media late 2019/ early 2020.

She was reacting about something a french actor had said about cinema and politics. He was criticizing how french cinema was becoming more political than artistic etc. And she replied that she doesn’t separate art and politics. But she said that specific thing that really kind of blew people’s mind :

“Depoliticizing reality is re-politicizing it in favor of the oppressor. So don’t talk to me about political cursor because it’s impossible not to be political, it doesn’t exist.”
