Behind-the-scenes story about SHINee’s song “Juliette” written by Jonghyun

At the fanmeeting, leader Onew laughed and said “In the middle of the song, there was a verse with the word ‘jijijik'”. Key also added “That’s the song ‘Juliette’. The lyrics were originally written as ‘jijijik, I got electrified by you’. I remember that I couldn’t control my expression when I first received the lyrics. So I said, ‘I think it’s very unique’.”

According to the members, the lyrics “Juliette, I’ll dedicate my soul to you” almost became “Jijijik, I got electrified by you”. During an interview in the past, Jonghyun also said “While watching ‘Romeo and Juliette’, I found that this work can be both a comedy or a tragedy in some ways. Since Romeo and Juliette are 16 and 14, I thought we could portray the concept of ‘young love’.” (source)
