if klance ever did become canon at the end, i’d like to think of the animators transitioning to another sunset scene, this time keith takes lance’s hand. lance is taken aback when he feels something warm holding his hand, looking at the pair of hands and then back up to keith’s face. his face is etched with softness and a warm smile, dreamily looking into lance’s magnificent blue irises. lance’s brain short circuits for a second before realizing what keith was trying to say and reciprocates his smile.
then it silhouettes to lance initiating the move. we can’t see the kiss but we know it happened. keith is stunned when he feels a pair of lips on his but he kisses back. lance’s altean marks glow when he does. when they both pull back, they’re both a disaster; blushing messes. then keith laughs first and eventually, they both laugh.
after a few seconds, lance lays his head against keith’s shoulder and quietly asks, “we’re a good team, right?”
keith closes his eyes and looks up at the ocean’s horizon, “we’ll always be a good team.”
