My Cousin's Back!

July 12, 2026

My favorite cousin finally came home after 11 years working abroad. After giving birth to her daughter she went to UAE to work. I've missed her so much! Me and my relatives gathered and had a boodle fight for lunch. I am so full! Ate three grilled tilapia! Haha! That afternoon me and my cousins drank in our backyard cottage and did karaoke on our phones connected to a speaker. I miss that crazy fun with my cousins! I only drank a little because I still have to go back to the city that afternoon. Hahaha!

First time in Robinsons Magnolia. 4km from my apartment via Angkas. After almost a year, I finally met "Nanay" again (on my right). She was like a mother figure to us back in our previous company as an American Englih language school. She was the head of the TESOL teachers. Again, it was a lovely catch up full of learnings.

I'm just thankful my mental state is okay. Okay in a sense that I am not like if someone hugged me I will probably cry. That kind of mental state. I'm thankful I am whole.

It's my first time visiting the upper mountainside pilgrimage of Our Lady of Piat Shrine in DRT, Bulacan. There's also a café outside overlooking the vast horizon.

After 8 months, ngayon ko na lang ulit na-treat ng lunch parents ko. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of family, the gift of weekends where I can spend it with theml, the gift of having a job. My heart is always happy. Love you, ma, pa.

Goodbye, Pixel 8 Pro :(

It was last October 2024 when I finally saved up and bought my first Pixel phone. My wish finally came true. I have been happy ever since because I reviewed it already specially the camera and the quality and colors of the photos. My Pixel 8 Pro captured so many of its firsts for almost two years of using it until yesterday when it was unfortunately got stolen.

It happened when I was riding the MRT yesterday from Guadalupe station going home to Bulacan from work. I am thanking God that I didn't panic. I got off the Ortigas station and sat for a bit at the SM Hypermarket in SM Megamall to think clearly after what happened. I rushed to my previous company and tried to seek help from my friends and I will be forever grateful to my former workmates. I was praying I will find someone that can help me and luckily they're still in the office. More than one help was done.

Another reason to be thankful to God is that all of my savings are no longer in my active bank accounts. They're both empty. Thank you Lord that my wallet was still with me and my money. Thank you Lord that nothing bad happened to me and I am okay. That I still got to go home to Bulacan that night safe and sound. I am still praying that other problems connected to this will be resolved, too.

Lord saw what the snatcher did. Lord knows what He will do next.

Got Hired!

After 8 months of being unemployed, I was hired and that week before my first day at work was rough. I got scammed. Unsure if I was fit to work. Foot got sprained. Living alone again under the current state of our country. I was overwhelmed and anxious. I talked to God and prayed. Now two weeks have passed in my new work and I made it through.

Apparently multiple stabs won't kill you unless you shoot him in the head like a zombie. They learned their lesson but not with the story for this one. The reveal was so corny. Even the last fight scene is bad. Dropping Jenna and Melissa from this film didn't even do them good.

Pretty Lethal Dir. Vicky Jewson

A girl name Princess who is bitchy and a diva is not what I expect Lana to be playing but I totally love it. Maddie is really good here. This is somehow like Suckerpunch but make it camp. Uma Thurman is not aging at all. Her aura here reminds me of Poison Ivy back then. But I kinda expect that she will be the final boss that the girls will be fighting. Haha
