(Here’s a little challenge for myself and y’all sorta. If I ever get to 100 followers, I’ll do an english dub of Deep Forest. The whole thing not just the parts used for the opening. Gunna tag this as Rempo so I don’t forget.
This may ruin me or help me.)
(Woke up with a sore throat today. I'm gunna blame Rempo because of all the yelling he did yesterday.)
The girl watched quietly as the spirit cast a spell, smiling more at the flames that erupted from the ground. “Ha! Perfect… Thanks, Rempo. I appreciate it." Slowly, the girl plopped down into the snow, wincing a bit from the pain on her back. Still, at least the injuries were bandaged and cared for, for the time being.
To make sure the fire didn't start to burn out of control Rempo stayed hovering just above it making sure to keep a shackle arm pointed at the blaze at all times.
"No big! Lemme know if the fire needs to be warmer. Or even if you want it to explode!" The spirit did love his explosions afterall.
“Heh… really? Sounds like something I’d really wanna see!" She shivered suddenly from a gust of wind, shaking her head. "Ah… Mind making a fire now, Rempo? If you don’t mind, of course…”
"Awesome! Then I, the Great Rempo, shall make a fire appear right in front of your eyes!" With that the spirit whooshes off a few feet away and points a shackled arm at a spot on the ground. He then raises it and with it comes a fwoosh and a tall roaring fire.
"Ta-dah!!"
(How I went so long without RPing this little fire cracker I'll never know.)
A small smile appeared on her face as he spoke, actually appearing somewhat warm for once.
“…thank you. I really appreciate it.”
"No problem! Gotta have some way to warm up in this damn cold! And my fire is the best of course! You should see how fast I can roast a chicken!"
“You’re certainly right about that. I’m… not very keen about winter, honestly. I’m not built for the cold." And since she no longer had her wings, there was no way for her to physically warm herself, if needed. How did humans survive like this?
Plus… these crutches are not made for walking through snow and the like…
It was hard to say if Rempo noticed the other's crutch or not however it was most likely the latter.
"Well if you ever need a fire started be sure to lemme know! That's what I'm great at!"
So it was him. Needless to say, she was certainly surprised.
“A-admittedly, I’m shocked to see you here. It’s… been a while," she commented, turning her head to continue following the spirit as he floated around her.
"Can't argue with ya there." The spirit continued going around her in a carefree circle before eventually changing to floating in place in front of her. "But it's been so long and now it's winter time!"
The angel blinked as she leaned on one of the crutches she held tightly underneath her arm.
“…R…Rempo….?”
Was that really him? After so long?
"Well lookit this! It's Mimi!" said the book spirit with a grin and he floated around the girl in a circle.
"What the heck?!"
Out of all the things Cyar’d expected the other to do, perching atop his head was not one of them. It took him a minute of pure shock recovery before he was able to swat at his head in order to knock his unwanted companion off.
"Hey careful!" He wasn't so stupid that he wasn't going to take the hint so he quickly floated, more like zoomed, away from the boy's flailing hands. "You'll hurt someone doing that! AKA me!"
"Right." Cyar’s voice dripped with sarcasm. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don’t exactly believe in fairy tales. Try tellin’ that to someone who’s actually dumb enough to listen to ya."
Rempo floats over and sits on the boys head, simply to prove there's some "weight" to his existence rather than the perch prospect. "Feh. Big talk for a kid. Next time the heater in your house breaks don't ask me to help ya."
"What even is a book spirit?" A pause. "Why am I askin’? Whatever they are, they aren’t real."
"Ugh! I hate explaining things! Book spirits guard books! And I'm as real as that sour puss face of yours is!"
"Dammit! I missed summer this year! Now it's stinkin' winter!"
"The heck? Of course I’m a human. What the heck are ya- an idiot?"
"Book Spirits aren't idiots! ...Except for maybe Neaki, but that's not the point!"
"If that happens, ya can find yours covered in paint and dyed pink."
"You know what? You're weird for a human!"
"Ya can seriously try."
"Just watch. I can make your hair just explode right into flames."
