anyway chorosonic hell is extensive, incredibly self indulgent and probably is best started at the beginning, which was. pre-pregame somehow.
before the Incident that landed everybody here with no memories of their time at hope’s peak, genta and ryouji had started dating after ryouji no homo’d him and genta roasted him for unironic use of ‘no homo’ for several months in an event that cumulated when genta realized that the fact that he’d gotten so invested in poking ryouji for not saying no homo when he did something that could potentially be described as Home of Sexual was.. probably a bit telling. this further cumulated when they fell asleep on the train and ended up in some nowhere town near midnight. here they befriended a stray dog, got a shady motel room they blocked off all of the entrances to like idiots because they thought someone was going to break in, and kissed for like 0.4 seconds in an event that was secondhand embarrassing for everyone
anyway so then everyone died and they forgot each other in the revival into the simulator, but they were in separated so that didn’t really matter anyway. however, when the grapevine got around that someone named ryouji nomiya was killed, genta just kind of. felt an Actual Emotion at this and a sense of dread hit the pits of his gut which kind of made him go ??? what the fuck??? what the fu–
he eventually just chalked up this Feeling to the fact that it likely played a part in spreading fear that lead to the Mutual Killings on both sides. gent kind of pushed the Vine Mysteries to the backburner for a while because there were Actual Pressing Issues ™ to attend to, like everybody dying.
anyway, skip ahead to genta dying, wherein local man crawls into the hotel with his broken ass body and dies in front of his dear friend. This caused him to wake up from the simulator with a fear that if he started speaking again, blood would begin pouring from his mouth the way it did when he tried to tell Yuka what happened… which kept him from opening his mouth at all. This, combined with his earrings missing (which… he essentially used to track if his body is HIS, or if he was copied again back when his bros were cloning him excessively) basically caused him to try and repress everything in favor of trying to find out who was in charge to demand answers. He then tried to kick open a sliding door and fell on his face.
Ryouji was the first one to find him like this, in the midst of his own state of trauma after an Incident following merge. Genta had ended up dropping his ID in the pod, and thus, for a little while, they sort of communicated through charades which caused ryouji to think genta was trying to come onto him and, eventually, Genta borrowing Ryouji’s ID and typing at him while they looked for Genta’s. They kind of struck up a weird friendship while mutually denying their own trauma somewhere in between a series of bullshit conversations wherein Ryouji suspected Genta of being the Mastermind due to his greek symbol name, and Genta finding Ryouji to be kind of a close minded guy because of his belief in the hedgehog’s dilemma, and the breaking of tension via a video sent to everyone on their keycards wherein chou ate a piece of wax fruit.
Eventually after the initial suspicion of Genta is MM wore off, they started going at conspiracy theories on who it COULD be, and they mutually sussed chourara since they wouldn’t let anyone into the computer room, where important information was probably kept. This resulted in a weird thread wherein ryouji got accused of being bisexual by chourara after he sent a picture of a Cursed Ice Sculpture to genta, and got a concussion, chou opened up a wound in her leg, and bled everywhere, and sarara was… on the floor. This ordeal was shocking enough that Genta regained his ability to speak while he had a good old fashioned panic trying to fuss over both Chou and Ryouji while Adachi (who he was with at the time of being contacted) was Very Tired Indeed. Gent kind of helped him back to bed after that and they talked for a bit while they tried to assess ryouj was going to Die from that experience and grew closer.
somewhere in there ryouji made him an omelet and genta got fuckign hype because he’s a shitty cook and hadn’t had hot food in at least a week and in exchange genta gave him a haircut but fucked up but ryouji was cool with it because his hair is a fucking mess anyway
Anyway, after that, the case 6 motive happened and Ryouji got carted off to the sim again, so Genta took this as Confirmation of the Conspiracy, had a weenie ass confrontation with Sarara wherein they just pushed each other and hurled insults and Sarara roasted him so bad he doubted his own humanity and started crying. Chou came in and took pity, let him Access the Computers and confirmed to him the identity of both masterminds. Anyway he kind of attributed that one to Ryouji but Ryouji was no longer there so he just ended up making excuses to pass by the parl sim room to check if he’d woken up yet. He kind of realized he missed talking to him there, since the only other person at the time he’d really struck up a friendship with was Adachi, and Adachi didn’t have the patience to spend CONSTANT time with him. it was approximately this point he realized he was attracted to ryouji in some convoluted way
Weeks passed, he reconciled his opinion on Akio and realized that in spite of him doing a Killing, Akio was a Good Guy who Cared. This isn’t Ryouji related but Akio and Adachi did indirectly keep him from going off on Ryouji after dat boi did a Killing on Tomoka. After that Genta kind of assessed his worldview so that rather than cracking down on people for acting out in a situation where they felt helpless to do anything else, to try and judge intention instead - a person can make mistakes and mean well. Well, that, and Ryouji was kind of traumatized after all that so he didn’t really have the heart to treat him coldly anyway after he got his ass kicked live in trial and died like 200 times
unfortunately ryouji was kind of freaked out by him anyway since, due to their History, one of ryouji’s deaths was him being fuckign slain by genta via knife so he started avoiding him after that. Somehow they had an encounter in the worst possible place, the kitchen, where there are knives. the whole Trauma thing caused ryouji to crack a little and they left the kitchen to try and distract ryouji a little from it. it came out that they were both sort of passionate about films in different ways (genta with star wars, ryouji w/ film in general) and they were like !! about that and it was ALMOST casual but genta misstepped and caused ryouji to panic again
which…somehow ended with them vaguely discussing trauma Feelings ™ and leaned up against each other in silence
ryouji started living with genta in the deadblog library after that, at which point they started cuddling a lot more often y’know, because that’s what bros do and also the physical contact kind of helped ground ryouji and comforted the side of genta that needed a hug and made them both feel like Not Everybody Hated Them. after that Revisiting Trauma and Feelings ™ occurred slightly more in between like 3252356346 bullshit threads from then until endgame.
eventually they found ryouji’s scrapbook and discovered they used to date but it didn’t fuss them all that much because somewhere in the midst of that hell they started half-dating again anyway. genta’s still not 100% certain if what ryouji feels for him isn’t just based on trauma or if he’s just using him or not, but for now, anything is fine really. even if he was just using him, him just being is enough for now
…phew ok that was a lot if anyone who isn’t azura is still alive i’ll be shocked
anyway, tl;dr, ryouji is incredibly precious to genta and although he probably wouldn’t say he’s in love with him quite yet, ryouji was probably the first person he feels actually listens to him. While yuka either wouldn’t take him seriously or was too compromised to discuss anything serious, and while adachi would hear and accept what he’d say but most of the time wouldn’t actually… listen… ryouji listened, accepted it all for what it was, and went on to try to be open minded about everything. Also, he makes him laugh, is passionate about what he enjoys and is taller than him, which are also important traits when you’re romancing genta apparently
anyway this is getting ridiculous so we’ll cut this off here thanks for reading
Genta is under the impression that Andrew got a bit of a bad rap due to not being able to respond well in difficult situations. Sure, he went off on everyone and cussed them out, but... well. From what he’d heard, he’d lost his significant other, and most people treated him with disdain without real cause. He hadn’t murdered anyone after all, he was just trying to speak for himself and give voice to what he thought so that it might be considered within their discussions. Which is very important, considering a lack of differentiating opinions tends to lead to discussions remaining stagnant. The devil’s advocate in him appreciates that Andrew was able to step up - however briefly - while he couldn’t.
So, while he doesn’t know him very well... Genta’s under the impression that Andrew is a good guy, just under a lot of stress at present. He hopes that he and Hanako may find more peaceful, greener (lol) pastures elsewhere.

Honestly at this point his impression of Ayato is that he’s some manner of extremely tired Disney prince that was heavily put upon by the game and deserves a break. If he knew about his apparent Participation in Human Experimentation, that tune might have shifted a little, but for the time being... well. Pretty boy who sings well and also has an enjoyment for gardening deserves better.

Okay I’m gonna be real Adachi kind of came out of left field for both Genta and myself because I 100% expected that they’d hate each other completely?
And it did sort of start like that - To Genta, Adachi basically embodied the very picture of the sort of cis, heterosexual masc guy who would do a beatdown on anyone who opposed him or his way of life. For the first little while, Genta probably would have been content to avoid someone like him, but was under the impression that he should always keep an open mind. Well, that, and if one shows oneself to not be afraid, then there’s no chance of being picked on. Also, Adachi is a dude… and so, he got attitude.
And then, as circumstance would have it… Adachi was overheating and needed a pair of shorts.
In some weird way that was a turning point for their relationship, somehow? They kept up their usual arguing, but somewhere in there something that… wasn’t quite respect… made its way in, and Genta started thinking of him a bit more fondly than not. Sure, he was still out here roasting the shit out of him, but Adachi accepted what he had to say, and even if their viewpoints were very different, he seemed very eager to talk to him about exactly how he thought his was better. While normal people probably would have been turned off by this, Genta just sort of appreciated that he wanted to try and show him what he thought, too.
And then there was that sadstuck thread where they were hanging out in the streets eating sunflower seeds and Adachi gave him a plant because he didn’t want to look after it and Genta viewed that as some weird tsundere advance into friendship since he was used to getting that from Yuka and the rest was history
Even after he left, Genta views Adachi as a close friend - even if he could barely get him to admit that they were friends to begin with after they were both dead, and he’s still a little salty and petty that he ran off and started spending time with his murderer. Adachi was still a (literally) solid presence during probably some of the worst moments of his life, and, although he viewed it as being a bit excessive on his part, appreciated that he did want to protect him in his own weird way. Even if that just lead to more arguing, because that’s basically the foundation all true friendships r built on right
Nevertheless, he hopes that Adachi and Yuka are able to protect each other out there, and that he’ll be able to see them again someday... even if he thinks Adachi is a bit of an oaf sometimes.

Appropriately, Genta didn’t get the best first impression of Tomo either, given that she was knocking on nightwatch, which was headed by people who were Doing their Best and assuring Innocents were Protected, from his view. However, while he was a bit salty, Tomo defeated his logic purely by… being a teen.
No, she didn’t have to like or participate in nightwatch. She still had her own agency to act and do with her life as she chose. It was a bit of a wakeup call for him to go back to his base and re-assess the way he was thinking about things; something he grew to appreciate more later on after he’d died.
And then Tomo died. And, of course, one cannot let a young woman wander around alone, especially after such an ordeal - and so, he’d went to spend a bit more time with her to help her work some of her excess anger out. Even if he ended up larping Star Wars unbeknownst to Tomoka, trying something new was refreshing, and he’d admittedly began to turn his initial opinion around on her for the better.
Admittedly, he… still feels a little bad that he then proceeded to run off with her murderer, given that (he presumes) she felt in a similarly dejected way to the way he felt when he died, but… well. If the sixth trial proved anything, she has a strong support network within the simulator that she may hopefully reunite with soon enough.

Genta kind of died off around the era where Jamie was still considering seducing Twelve as a valid means of escape, so that’s.. generally where he is these days. He still wonders a little - did he ever make any headway with that? Or is there ghostwritten Twelve/Jamie 18+ yaoi lemon don’t like don’t read out there? Given the precarious position of things right now, it seems sort of inappropriate to ask.
Not that that would... stop him... if the opportunity presented itself. Free jams
Nevertheless, he enjoyed his chats with Jamie, appreciates how generally level headed he is, and is satisfied that they made up with each other following the fourth case. If there was anything he could do to assist his escape so that he would be able to go back and see his friend again, he’d be more than happy to help in whatever means he could.

Anyway Genta, without a single shadow of a doubt in his mind, believes that Ai is a good person.
Even when he watched her score a hit on someone dear to him, even when Andrew outed her secret, even if she roasted the ever loving fuck out of him for the first while, he decided that Ai is a good person not only because she helped him in his time of need (not just by helping to patch him up, but by getting him tissue when he fell off his stolen bike), but because she continued to try and do what he saw as making an effort to save innocent lives and get everyone out of the simulator.
And... unfortunately, Genta is fairly stubborn about his opinions on people once he comes to a conclusion. And so, much in the way that he decided both Adachi and Ryouji are good people, even if Ai proceeded to act in a way that was notably not what he’d consider to be ‘good’. he’d just accept it as her being human and stumbling along the path. He’s done it, everybody does it, but Ai is still a good person. He wasn’t paying attention to the final trial, but he would probably be proud of her for finding the book and would probably lump the blame for Tadashi’s injuries entirely on Tadashi partially because of m’lady, but also in part because of Genta Sugai’s Giant and Obnoxious Bias towards her. Not even Randomized Possibilities could stop that.
Beyond that... honestly, after he apologized, if Ai ever had a direct question for him, he’d probably give her a straight answer, regardless of what it pertained to. His little lie about not knowing who the killer was and asking her not to call Meech was enough shame to his Gentleman’s Code (tm) for one lifetime.

The first moment when Haruna really struck Genta was not during their first encounter, but during case 5. Asserting that Sarara was somehow ‘too harmless or attached to him’ to do the crime and suggesting that he instead died through falling out the window by accident struck a bit of a chord with him, and he was quick to peg her as close-minded and inflexible. Mostly because he was in a bit of a bitter mood due to being slain at the time, but with due consideration to how many of the trials went from that moment on, his personal opinion improved little.
He did, however, respect her ability to offer her own opinion at length - it was clear that she cared, and was passionate about attempting to find the right person. He cannot wholly dislike someone who is making their best effort to assure an innocent isn’t slain - especially not a lady. It would be difficult to find someone who is adapted to such detective work in a field that concerns nothing of the sort anyway. Besides, if he heard she played such a large part in helping to end this farce, he’d have a further appreciation for her efforts to save them all.
She seemed to take a lot of losses during the mutual killing game, however, and he does hope that she might be able to depart and find peace from her experiences someday.

In terms of impressions, Kazuko has been... somewhat rocky on Genta at best. Between the group chats, Sosuke’s brutal murder, and Adachi warning him to stay away from her, he wasn’t entirely sure what to make of her initially... but, on the other hand, she did make an effort to remain civil when asked, and was willing to help out with his other lucrative crime projects when he had few other people he could turn to with such specialized skills. Plus, a lady should also always be treated kindly and with respect, even if her personal agency when angered may be... uh, mildly frightening. Unless she kills you personally.
He empathizes a bit more with Sosuke’s cause here, but she doesn’t need to know that.
10/10 would break into rooms with again

he's the 21st clone out of all of his 'brothers', although he's technically the clone of a clone
he was made originally for something called the reincarnation project, as the original genta sugai got kidnapped as a child and became completely obsessed with possibility because the killers ransoming him only presented two options: either his parents pay up, or he'd die(which... is why he was kind of : //// at apk being like "we either live or die here" lAUGHS )
this particular genta in-game is named phi, but he was cloned from a genta named sigma
sigma was a hitman. this happened because original gent wanted to know what would happen if he left a copy of himself on foreign shores without a penny to his name or knowing the language
so sigma turned to crime
however, an elderly bartender who more or less adopted him as her own grandchild showed him compassion, and he wanted to be a better person for her
so he took the money and went back to his brothers and said he wouldn't be participating any more
so they killed him and used an earlier backup copy to create phi
phi remembered this resolve though, and so he decided to defy picking up where sigma left off to become soft
took up gardening and writing
he wrote about what it was like to be sigma, and then published it as a means to tell people about the project, but it was taken as allegory. his brothers found out and they weren't happy
they'd intended to kill him too, but an invitation to hope's peak came in the mail due to the success of his book
the original cloning tech genta got was stolen from hope's peak, so they were aware in advance of the mutual killing game
an ultimatum was offered - go to hope's peak and risk the mutual killing game and report back with the experience, or die
genta picked the former, unaware that he was going to be killed whenever he returned home (which was contained in a letter sent to him by one of the 'bros' that actually cared about him)
I love my girl and genta cares a lot for her too so let’s get to it
Anyway from the get-go, Genta kind of sussed Yuka as a bit of an Unsavory sort, but she was a lady, and he would not be one to treat a women with unkindness simply because she watched him fuck himself up with a cash register. And was part of the yakuza, and kept bugs in her sleeves.
… Ultimately, because Genta’s a fucking weirdo, the bugs and her willingness to have an intellectual conversation with him are ultimately what got them to bond. He appreciates passion in other people, and ended up taking a shine to one of her Japanese beetles because she said it was ‘common’ and then internally he was like ‘oh i’m common too!’ and then he just. became passionately invested in her bugs to the point of talking to them like you would a pet. genta why
anyway Genta tends to try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but Yuka was probably the first person who discovered he admitted to being a clone to, which she… absolutely did not buy from him, for good reason. Ultimately, that ended up locking Yuka out of basically becoming real and honest friends with Genta for an age, until they actually roomed together and had their first fight. Once she decided to start trying to understand, not because she was completely able to, but because she liked him and wanted to support him, he started to come around just a little. between her and adachi’s influence, he began to take a turn to become a bit more assertive about things rather than just waffling in his own indecisiveness
And then he died, causing trauma, and felt kind of bad about that for a bit which was only doubled by the court appearing sympathetic to what he saw as Sarara’s unsympathetic rationale and he just hated everything for a while and kind of doubted exactly how genuine Yuka’s ‘friendship’ for him was
Buuut they were able to talk again after living and dead synced up, so that was cleared up a little. tl;dr, Yuka’s a dear friend and someone he enjoys spending time with, but he finds he can’t really have serious conversations on a deeper level with her. 7/10, would hope for the best for

Upon their early encounters, Genta thought Ailani was rad. She was a fellow author!!! She was willing to break and enter with him!! She asked him about himself and put up with his probing questions!! Holy shit!!!
And then he died, and became a spectator to the trials instead of an active participant. She always seemed to... sort of be trying, even if she was sort of mischievous, so that was more of a neutral matter. He kept up his initial impression up until her trial.
Unfortunately, Genta is a petty little man and, although he went along with Yuka’s request not to vote for her, partially blames her for forcing Yuka to go through so much pain. On one hand, yes, she didn’t technically have an ACTIVE hand in the bomb business, but she did enable Yuka to create it. As a result, like some sort of garbage overprotective sibling, he’s largely lost most (if not all) of his initial respect for her... but he can still appreciate why Yuka was so fond of her.
also, ailani’s a useful tool for countering yuka when she starts bullying him about ryouji

1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
Genta has... a lot of siblings, and all of them are technically him. He’s the youngest of 14 surviving clones, 15 if one counts the original Genta Sugai. Most of them are a bit distant from one another due to the nature of their work, but he gets along fairly well with the ones he used to live with - as they’re all named after Greek Letters, these Gentas were dubbed Lambda, Omnicron, and Tau.
Out of those three, he’s probably closest to Lambda. Both of them went through similar experiences at the hands of the project they were created for. The distance is still there, though.
2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
Genta’s never had a real relationship with his mother due to #CloneLyfe, but what he can recall of her from memories of a past life are fairly positive.
3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
Same as above tbh. He looks up to his father’s image to some degree, though, and has tried to model himself after him a bit.
4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
He’s... been through a lot of these sorts of situations throughout his lifetimes lmAO. Genta Sugai’s 19 years of life have been kind of dubious. Yuka and Masashi might have Gained Knowledge of probably the most turbulent time of his life.
5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
When he was alive, he’d generally have his ID, his contact lens case, a couple of slightly chewed pens and a notebook full of thoughts that occurred to him for contemplation on his person at all times.
Outside of the game, his wallet, phone, and a half smushed/empty box of candy cigarettes could usually be found on his person as well.
6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
He used to have reoccurring dreams of being underwater, but not drowning within it often. There’d be nothing for miles but the steady stream of bubbles that would accompany his breathing. He could never explain why that would put him at ease, but it would.
7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
He dreams of a city skyline in the late evening often, blurred faces interspersed under the empty lights below.
And then he hits the ground.
8. Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?
There has been a somewhat uncanny amount of gun usage in Genta’s past oh christ
The first thing he’d ever struck was a person. He wasn’t ready mentally or physically, and his piss poor shot missed, ripped through some of their hair and split open their ear. It wasn’t his finest moment. He wised up a bit after that.
9. Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
Yes! He’s closer to living at lower middle class at present. He was born into the upper crust, though.
10. Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
Definitely more. He’s self-conscious about his body in a lot of ways. He gets warm really easily though, so he tends to try and keep his extremities below his elbows and knees uncovered if possible.
11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
Probably the first night of the second week after he first arrived in Brooklyn. He was thirteen and hadn’t known the language at the time, was left alone away from his family, and had run out of what little money he’d had by that time. Hunger was starting to set in, trying to seek help from the authorities was Against The Rules, and he wasn’t entirely sure where he was able to go from there.
12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
Any time he’s writing, mostly. It sort of puts him into a zen-like state of sedation and helps him calm down.
13. Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
Not the sight of it so much beyond a sympathetic ‘yikes’ if there’s a lot of it, but he’ll be a big baby if he’s expected to actually touch it.
14. Does your character remember names or faces easier?
Faces, usually. He’ll remember names if he can make a direct connection between them and something else, though.
15. Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
He’s preoccupied with money in the way that someone who’s used to both having a lot and then having very little would be. He gets indecisive when he goes shopping a lot, as he’s always tempted by more lavish goods and prone to impulse buys, but then has to scold himself on the notion that he can’t afford them... even when he’s in a position when he could comfortably do so without any major loss on his part. Don’t send him in to pick up anything unless you’re explicit on the brand and size, he’ll take hours.
16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
Genta’s very success-driven, for the most part. You can’t achieve happiness unless you’re able to get yourself what you want out of life, in his view.
17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
He probably wouldn’t be able to name one specifically. He was more occupied with other children than he was toys.
18. Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
He’d admire both, really. You need the latter to get the former.
19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
Although he does his best to try and repress it, Genta is ultimately selfish. Although he will try to consider the other person’s needs, he tends to put himself and what he thinks is best first. He thinks with his desires over communicating well sometimes, which... tends to land him in hot water in most of his personal relationships.
Also his flirting technique is kind of terrible being real
20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
He tends to put himself apart from most people in some regards, but most of his comparisons tend to be critical when made to others. Usually, it’s only over small things like appearance, though.
21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
His worldview immediately suggests to him that he’s at fault for his own actions and knows it, but the petty, childish part of him would be inclined to blame others. He’ll accept responsibility when appropriate generally, though.
22. What does your character like in other people?
Passion, open-mindedness, and a good sense of humor. He has a lot of respect for people able to overcome their own personal failings to be better or stronger than they used to be in some ways.
23. What does your character dislike in other people?
There’s nothing he really dislikes trait wise in isolation, per se - it’s more combinations, and how the person shows them through their actions. For example, being selfish is one thing, but if you are selfish in a way that deeply inconveniences him or harms someone he cares for, he’s not a big fan of that. He’s a little hypocritical sometimes in that way.
24. How quick is your character to trust someone else?
On a surface level, Genta’s an open book. It doesn’t take much for him to accept what you’re saying as being true, and he’ll generally be content to consider you an honest person until you lie to him.
On a more private level, Genta is a fuckwad with 12 levels of baggage that he will only reveal in small bits, and will reel back the minute you react in a way he doesn’t care for. People he can ‘read’, or get a feel for easily are more likely to gain his trust than those he can’t.
25. How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?
This kind of goes under the ‘people he can read’ banner - if he feels like he knows the person, he’ll be able to sus out when something is off. In that regard, he’s willing to suspect just about anyone. His attitude towards this, however, depends on what he’s suspecting them of. Passive aggression bordering on openly argumentative is probably on the worse end of the scale, but he can let most things roll off his back pretty easily.
26. How does your character behave around children?
He’s a little too lax with them and will generally let them get away with more than they should. He likes the way they think and approach things, and thinks they should be able to experience as much as they can on their own terms before society beats that sense of wonder out of them.
... but he probably isn’t the best babysitter for that reason.
27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
Generally, it depends on the person and situation. If he’s more neutral towards you, he’s generally going to take a softer approach. Might debate how he’s right, but otherwise addresses it coolly.
An easy way to tell if he’s actually attached to you if he if he instead gets petty and passive aggressive with you. If he values your opinions, he’ll take them personally. Generally his approach is to remove himself from the situation and come back when that happens, and then apologize for being an ass when he cools down.
28. How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?
VERY slow. Generally, you’d have to fuck up big time for him to actually hit you. Genta dislikes violence, and would probably never raise a hand to a woman especially under most circumstances. Even if it kills him.

He’s never really been able to decide on that one. There’s so many options! Even now that he’s older, there’s still so many options! Life is grand.

Bodily fluids, mostly. Although he accepts them for what they are and in the situations they occur in, sweat especially tend to squick him a little bit. The second Tora motive killed him spiritually lmAO

Whenever he’s writing. Or out working with his plants. It’s hard to feel uncomfortable when you’re gardening.

Having to be a public figure of sorts due to his talent. As much as the attention is validating and he enjoys talking, he’s really not used to to speaking to more than a room’s worth of people.The idea of being famous would be jarring to him.

Initially a little defensive, but more than willing to improve once he understood what they were criticizing, exactly.
34. Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
He’d probably want to keep with the same solution in case there was a possibility that they missed something, but if the other suggested method seemed to hold more potential, he definitely wouldn’t be opposed to switching.
35. How does your character behave around people they like?
Physically affectionate and prone to light teasing. He’ll accommodate based on the other person, but if left to himself, expect lots of hugs and shoulder/head pats.
Dudes might also get the chivalry treatment he usually only offers to girls at this point in that he’ll hold open doors for you and offer you his coat.
36. How does your character behave around people they dislike?
Passive aggressive and partial to rude commentary in general. He’s just generally worse at hiding his salt when he feels strongly about someone, be it one way or the other.

Generally, he’s more likely to try and confront a problem directly. However, deciding the best course of action in order to do that tends to take a while for him, so it might seem like avoidance.

Oh, probably. It was never enough of one to have left any real permanent damage on his psyche, though.

With utmost respect. He tips well and is generally pretty forgiving with mixups/mistakes.

In his head, he feels that anything one is able to have generally has to be earned. There’s still that spoiled part of him that feels a little entitled to things and gets disappointed when he doesn’t get them, though.

There was an elderly bartender during his time in Brooklyn that took him in and allowed him to live with and work for her until he saved up enough money to return to Japan. As he knew he’d never really have a strong connection with his mother otherwise, he grew really attached to her. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, he’s been prohibited from seeing her again, but he decided to start trying to be a better person due to her influence.

He prefers to show it through action rather through words, but if he genuinely feels it and it’s what the other person wants to hear, it tends to be easier.

He believes in reincarnation, mostly. Other lives to be lived. Now that he’s died, the ‘dying’ part sort of scares him more than anything, but prior to that, the idea never frightened him. It was a bit enthralling, even.
