Precedents and design inspiration
The final design concept was inspired by grass, the swaying of grass blades. With this idea in mind, the design was developed to make a habitable space.
Concept development to design a happy, peaceful space for Vincent Van Gogh, the opposite of the sad life he lived. Three concept ideas were formed from the touch stone.
Concepts:
Picture 1: Concept model for life and hope (inspired by one of Vincent’s art piece)
Picture 2: Connectivity. How he connects to people is through nature, which is painted as art pieces.
3. Picture 3: concept model for peace. How he feel peace is also through nature: in one of his letters he have written about the things which gave him that feeling.
The chosen concept to develop further are the second and the third concept joined together.
