" oh... thank you. " the alchemist mutters, wiping the mark on their cheek away with the offered kerchief. they set it aside, making a mental note to wash it when they return home.

as a moment passes, albedo turns their canvas towards kaveh— a brilliant charcoal drawing of him sits upon it.

" i try to avoid drawing hands when it's possible, but your henna is so intricate, the image would feel incomplete had i left your hands implied. "

kaveh anxiously purses his lips, eyebrows knitting together when he's stopped by the blonde stranger in the street. ‘ i'd like to sketch you, ’ they ask him, but the architect is a little skeptical, to say the least. after all, things like this always ended up being some sort of scam. in fact, kaveh is certain that rumors of his naïveté have already spread as far as the edge of the desert, leading him to remain a little cautious regardless if they are in public, or the light of day. “ sure ... and as soon as it's done i'll have to pay, right? ” the architect says, folding his arms over his chest, “ well, you're out of luck. i have no mora to my name. ”
