I once had a conversation with this guy, back when my url was ‘thebechdeliancritic’. On probably one of my most popular posts, I was discussing about how the final season of Samurai Jack whitewashed the titular character, and how harmful it was, especially for Asian fans who grew up with the show. He posted it on Twitter without my permission, but he refused to link me the tweet. He tried to dodge my arguments by saying “I’m not white, I’m Mexican you dunce, POC, duhr-huh-dur”. Then when I told him that being Mexican is a nationality and not a ethnic group he moved the goalpost.
