Another One of Those Days.

Sometimes life sucks. Actually, life sucks. I don't know why this happens to me. Sometimes life just hits you like a brick wall and the next thing you know, the walls are all caving in with nothing but doubt. Just for once, I wish that things would go my way, you know? Sometimes it would just be nice to have full confidence that it will go my way. I know that what goes up must come down, but I just wish that what goes down must come up. 

I'm just so tired of all the crap. Some of the people that I thought would always be there to roll with me just end up disappointing me. Classes, school, work, all of it just comes down on top of me going from good bad to worse. Can I just get a win already? I'm ready for it. I'm waiting for it. I'm wanting for it. And when the day comes that I finally do get a win i will be ready for it.

football is back.

First things first, I love football. Lets face it, there is hardly anything better than watching grown men pitted against each other to see the ultimate face off between skill and strength. Of course, football isn't my favorite sport, but it is one of the many sports that I do love. That being said, as a football fanatic I instantly jumped up at the opportunity to play in another fantasy football league this year with my friends. There really is no better feeling than being number one in comparison to all your friends and fantasy football is a great way to prove that my football knowledge is greater than theirs. 

There is one bad part to fantasy football though, sometimes you need to just win and to do that you rely on players you wouldn't normally support. So it has been challenging to trust players for whatever the reason may be and I found that it is very gratifying when you do succeed in your choice to trust a player. This brings me to the unlikely stud that has saved me once this season, DeSean Jackson:

Everyone knows how much of a stud D-Jax can be when he is focused and utilizing his playmaking ability, but his inconsistency has pushed me away from him. But look at that picture, two dudes are stretched out, literally, trying to tackle him and instead he flies through the air with ease.

All of this points out that you never know with players what might happen, sometimes they get injured, sometimes they make a team impact in a different way than stats, sometimes they are just having an off day, whatever the case may be its safe to say that all of this is chance and that fantasy football is luck to a certain extent. So even though winning might feel great or you always just seem to lose, don't worry about it. Its just a silly game that you really have no control over, so don't obsess and just have fun because its the joy of playing with friends and having something to bond you together that should ultimately be satisfying enough.

On a more serious note, that is straight loser talk. Welcome back football, oh how I've missed you.

reality check

So I'm about to enter the recruitment phase for business firms as they hire young college students for jobs and internships and it got me thinking, I'm going to need a car to get through this process. I mean, I can't be going to work on foot and even though I don't need a car at the moment, if I do happen to get interviewed and hired by one of these firms, well I'm definitely going to have to get me a ride. And well, being the typical guy, I had to dream big when I was little and now it has manifested itself to this beauty:

The GTR. To be honest I really like both the r33 and the r34, but not so much this one, but I would still love this one. A kid has got to have dreams. Its just a shame that I see lots of other college kids driving this around, I don't know if they are hard workers or spoiled brats, but I do know one thing, with a lot of hard work, I could be driving one too.

its like the first day of school

I have been meaning to get back into the idea of blogging and I must admit it has taken me a while to do so.

Honestly tumblr scares me.

Its not that I worry about who will read this or even how many people I can get to read my crap because I know most people don't care about other's business, but I'm scared to do something new. I'm scared to expose myself and not really know who I am. Even worse would be the experience of having people shoot me down because I don't fit in with their mold of a perfect society or rather their society. In the end I would be content with no feedback from anybody, but then again its better to know that you're heard than not heard. So getting on with it, like the first day of school when all the fears of acceptance arise in our insecure little selves, this is me: I'm Josh and I love sports, books, and TV. I'm a pretty down to earth open book and I love trying out new things even when they scare me to death. I've learned that its better to try before I die than not know what I missed out on. In fact, last week I tried beef tongue for the first time and let me tell ya it was gross. But at least now I know that I wasn't missing out on anything delicious.

Anyway, I'm always open to new suggestions and I hope this blogging thing works out, not in the sense of number of followers per se and instead by successfully learning who I am through the expression of writing and being willing to take risks with my writing. I apologize for the unorganized thoughts and sentences, I'm still getting the hang of this and any feedback is nice.
