Totally. The story behind it makes it even better. I would change it up to make it seem like you are a little tougher. And believe it. I havenât done much of any kind of trouble.

A Tragic Treasure Hunt
Mike was starting to get worried once he didnât hear a response from Chance about them leaving and the way he was just hanging in the water made him look like he was either ignoring him or something was wrong. Moving a little closer, Mike ducked his head to get a better look, wishing he head a pair of sunglasses or something to help he see better. Once hear finally got a response, his eyes got wide â stung by a Jellyfish. Was that even possible out here? Then he instantly reminded that Steve Irvine guy from Australia dying from a Jellyfish stung, and he may be a smart guy but he knows nothing about Jellyfish or how to treat it.
Looking around on the pretty much empty breach for some help, but it was pretty pointless considering he didnât know a lick of Spanish. He probably should have played a little more attention to Mr. Schue.  Then there was no way he was going to make it to the beach house and back with someone to help without his buddy burning to a crisp out here. âOuch, how the hell did that happen?â He called back, moving towards his friend as he waved him over.  Mike arched an eyebrow as he waited for Chance to tell him what he needed to do, and instantly had to do a double take once he told him he had to pee on his elbow.
Screwing up his face at the request, Mike started to laugh loudly, throwing his head back and everything but once he realized that Chance wasnât laughing with him he stopped. âYou want me to seriously pee on you?â He questioned his eyes wide as he looked up and down the beach to see if he could find someone else, at girl at least to do it. âBro, I am not R Kelly. Hell no! I canât do that.â Once his friend held out his arm, Mike shook his head silently cursing himself for being the one to come with him today. âThis is so messed up,â he said under his breath as he unzipped his shorts and pushed them down along with his boxersâ mid-way. âI wish I had some water or something, peeing on command is not something I normally doâŠâ Trailing off as he aimed towards his target, making sure that he was hitting where he needed to and not anywhere else that would be considered foul and closed his eyes, hoping to God this would help. âAh man, I hope we can still be friends after this.â
The more Mike spoke, the less confidence Chance had in being able to do this. Resting his cheek and nose against his left shoulder, he kept his eyes closed waiting for some sort of relief to set in. It felt like an hour had passed before he finally felt the warm liquid splash against his skin. Almost immediately the numb feeling disappeared, making way for an unbelievable sting that shot through his entire body. Ripping his arm away from the stream, of what he had convinced himself was just water, a loud, pained groan dropped from his lips as he fell sideways into the heated sand. "That made it worse!" he called out, mentally scolding himself, as the burning sensation continued. "It feels like you just set my arm on fire, man." If he wasn't in so much pain, he might have realized the irony of that sentence in relation to Mike; but right now, nothing was funny.
Rolling from his side, to his back, he sat up and looked at the liquid beaded arm. The red bumps were more prominent now, and the swelling was worse. "Why is that a thing?" he asked in disbelief, dropping his wet left hand from his arm, in order to push himself up off the ground. That had to be the stupidest wives' tale of all time, considering it was completely false. Pausing to give his buddy time to put himself away, he balled up his left hand into a fist, in an effort to distract himself from the sheer discomfort. "I think we should just head back, I don't want to die from a freaking jellyfish sting." he suggested, grabbing his shoes, shirt, wallet and phone off the beach. "This whole uh... It never happened, yeah?" Chance was pretty certain that this wouldn't be a story that Mike would be eager to tell, considering it was embarrassing for the both of them.Â

âGold, pirate medallions, whatever - all I know is we just better fine something soon or Iâm going to die on this beach. And these stupid bottle caps can go to hell.â Letting out a frustrated sigh, Mike sat the useless object now down as he nodded his head once Chance took off towards the water. As much as a cool dip sounded right now, he figured he would just wait. Sitting down on the scorching hot sand, Mike cursed under his breath as he wiped his hands onto his swim tanks as he stared out at the crystal clear blue water. Had he not made his dedication to going to college where his dad wanted him to go, he would move here without a second thought. It was perfect, underage drinking, parties, dancing â the only thing he would change would be the water because it was beyond unbearable especially right now during mid-day. Wiping his forehead with the back of his hand, Mike craned his neck to the side as he tried to think cool thoughts but it just wasnât working. He figured that Chance and himself should probably head back since they both wouldnât want skin cancer.
Pushing himself up, he dusted the back of his shorts off and grabbed both his and Chanceâs defected metal detectors, he was pretty sure they didnât even work. Maybe they could resell them and get some money for them that right now didnât seem like a bad idea. Making his way closer to the water, Mike blocked his eyes to avoid the sun. âHey man, I think we should bounce. I donât think staying in this sun like this is healthy.â Especially since he didnât even remember if he put on enough sunblock or not. When he didnât hear anything back, he quirked an eyebrow up out of curiosity as he moved a little closer to the water. âHey dude, you alright?â He called out, moving his head to the side so he could try and see better. âYouâre not drowning, are you? Itâd be kind of awkward if I have to do a scene from Baywatch right now.â
Once his toes could graze the bottom of the ocean, Chance grabbed his numb arm, holding it against his side, as he allowed the waves to push him towards the sand. The pain was far from unbearable, but the fact that he couldn't really feel his limb from his elbow down, was definitely unsettling. The water crashed into his ears, muffling Mike's words to the point where he couldn't understand what his friend was saying. Every time he was pushed by a wave, he could feel a sharp pain shoot through his arm. When he was finally able to stand by himself, he glanced down at his elbow which was now red, swollen, and had tiny bumps forming on the surface of his skin.Â
"No, I got stung, man." he called back, after hearing Mike's question. "By a jellyfish." he clarified, before realizing that there wasn't really anything else to get stung by. Allowing his fingertips to gently graze the injury, he quickly pulled his hand back at the sudden pain, still making his way towards his buddy. A groan emerged from his mouth as he remembered how far they were from the beach house. He had no idea how he was supposed to treat a jellyfish sting, other than the obvious solution that everyone knew about. Out of all the items on his mental checklist of the things he wanted to do in Puerto Rico, being peed on by a friend, was not one of them. But at the same time, walking over a mile with his arm in the condition it was in, wasn't going to work either.Â
"Come here." he waved Mike over, pinching his eyes shut, partially due to discomfort, but most due to embarrassment. "I need you to-" he cut himself off prematurely, really not wanting this to happen. "I need you to pee on my elbow, to get it to stop stinging." The words flew out of his mouth in a jumbled mess, and a small part of him hoped Mike couldn't understand him. Dropping to his knees on the sand, he held his injured arm out with his good arm, and turned his head in the opposite direction away from what was about to happen. "Just do it."Â

Stopping what he was doing, Mike stood up straight to give him a painful look. He probably hyped himself up a little too much thinking they were going to find some kind of buried treasure. Then of course this wasnât a movie, even though that would be so amazing if it was he could definitely use a little bit of excitement in his life, but whatever the found would be enough he guessed. âAw, dude are you serious? You just crushed all my dreams there, and here I thought weâd find something worth a lot.â He shook his head as he continued his search, he couldnât really complain anyways this was filling some kind of childhood memory for him and at least his mother would be proud of him. At least this was fun, but the sun beaming down on them as they were out there? Not so much. Mike could have gone without that.
âI think we probably should have, didnât think it would be this hot considering weâre by the water.â He shrugged, cracking his neck to the side as he took small steps forward. âLima and Puerto Rico are definitely to different places, the weather is the most predominant change.â Right now, he wouldnât mind the eighty degree weather back home, at least it was tolerable. Instantly hearing a beeping noise caused his ears to perk up as he stopped moving the metal detector and bent down to examine what he could have possibly stumbled upon considering they had no such luck finding anything. Digging just a little, he cursed under his breath as he picked up yet another beer bottle cap and flung it out of his way. They really did know how to party on the beach here judging by the amount of alcohol beverages caps heâd found. âYou might want to go take that swim right now, looks like weâre not having much luck with this.â Kicking the sand, Mike held his hand up to cover the sun from getting into his eyes as he sat the metal detector down onto the sand for a break.
"Dude, pirate medallions are probably still worth a lot." Chance commented, his focus locked on to the half-working screen of his metal detector. The stupid thing beeped every time he moved, and it was driving him insane. No wonder the rentals were so cheap. "If it's gold, it'll get us some cash. If it's gold and from the ocean, then it'll get us even more cash." he explained, before shaking the failing device. "I think mine's broken." he groaned out loud, wiping the accumulating sweat off his face once more. This was one of those things that was better as an idea, than it was an action. Now they were a couple of miles away from the beach house, in the scalding heat, on a wild goose chase. This was supposed to be a lot more fun than it was turning out to be.Â
"Yeah, man. That's for sure. I wouldn't mind Lima temperatures down here, instead of this constant heat, you know?" he replied, before stopping in his tracks as he heard Mike's detector go off. Resting the base of his own detector against the ground, Chance slumped forward waiting patiently to see what his friend would unearth. Recognizing the bottle cap, he hung his head, and pinched his eyes shut. "On it." Dropping the detector to the ground without care, he quickly pulled his sweat dampened shirt over his head, and let it fall onto the sand. After removing his wallet and phone from his swim trunks, he set them on top of his shirt, kicked off his flip flops, and took off towards the water.Â
The cool water was a shock to his hot skin, as he ran into the breaking waves. The swell was weak, definitely not cut out for surfing, but perfect for swimming. When he was far enough in, he dove into the water head first, appreciating the relief from the sun. This was already better than the monotonous task of searching for treasure in the sand. Actually swimming for a period of time seemed unnecessary seeing as though he was cooled off now, and he didn't want to keep Mike waiting for him on the beach, so he began to make his way back. Reaching forward to propel himself, his hand barely brushed against something that didn't feel like water. Assuming it was just seaweed, he continued forward, before he felt something graze his elbow. The light pressure was followed by a sharp sting, and a quiet curse fell from his lips. His eyes fell on the jellyfish floating right next to his shoulder, and he quickly lunged to get away from it as a surge of fear coursed through him. His entire lower right arm felt numb and tingly, and hindered his efforts to get back to the beach.Â

Puerto Rico so far had been a wonderful experience but there were parts of him that were dying to get back home to his own bed. However, it isnât that the Lopezâs beach house wasnât warm and inviting but there was only so much you could do before you got bored of doing the same thing every day, or maybe that was him. He already burned down their backyard, despite saying he didnât, he totally did she just wasnât going to find that out â he was pretty much done for the summer. Â Plus Tina and himself werenât talking for whatever reason this time and he didnât really have much else to do without her. Well he did, but it wasnât that much fun anymore after he experienced the real thing. Â
So when Chance brought up the opportunity to go to the beach and look for pirate gold, he wasnât going to pass that up. Free money and metal detectors? Sounded like a free trip to the playboy mansion in his mind.  After their brief meeting down stairs and working out a strategy  on how they were going to tackle this task, Mike found himself walking along the beach not too far from his friend determined to find a little something at least. âHey, man.â He finally spoke, looking up from his spot as he moved the detector around before wiping a couple of beads of sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand. âYou think that weâll actually find something out here. What if we found like a shit ton of gold out, weâd be like multi-millionaires or something.â With that thought alone Mike found himself grinning, gold meant money which meant he could buy whatever he wanted and that didnât sound too bad right about now.
Puerto Rico felt more like home to Chance than Lima ever did. Not to mention, the locals treated him as though he was a local himself. They spoke a slightly different dialect of Spanish than he did, in a completely different accent, but it was still easy for him to understand and reply. Everything was hotter in Puerto Rico, the sun, the women, needless to say, he was enjoying his vacation. The metal detectors came into play on a whim. Walking back to the house they were staying at, he passed a small shack, and decided to go for it. His knowledge about the history of the island was limited, but he figured there had to be something hidden in the sand along the beach. Whether it was just a watch that someone lost while swimming, or gold that was washed ashore from a pirate ship. His inner child was probably getting the best of him, but this trip was supposed to be fun, right?
After meeting up with Mike and explaining how the detectors worked, to the best of his ability, they headed out onto the beach. Mike was an easy pick, because they were buddies, and the guy was enthusiastic about pretty much anything. Not to mention Aaron was hanging with Kellan, and he didn't have too many other options as far as friends at the house went. Hearing Mike's voice, Chance perked his head, and shifted his attention to the guy standing a few feet away. "I'm sure we'll find something, dude. I don't know about a ton of gold, but maybe a couple medallions or something, if we're lucky." he answered with a small laugh, looking back down at the sand beneath his metal detector. Swinging it from side to side, he began to get irritated by the sand in his flip flops. Slipping them off his feet, he tucked them in the back pocket of his swim trunks and continued slowly walking forward, along the edge of the water. "I'm thinking we should have gone later in the day, man. This heat is killing me." he said, as he grabbed the collar of his tank top to wipe the sweat off of his face. "If we don't find something in the next five minutes, I'm going to take a quick swim to cool off."Â
