eva stratt is someone very precious to me actually. picture this: if she didn't already have a hard enough time after the hail mary launched (see: using the powers world leaders gave you to help the world and said world leaders get angry with you for using those powers to help the world), she is also a woman. a lone woman in a world wherein millions of people still believe that a woman's job is to be at home with lots of children, and would have resented her for the position she held. and yet, this is not the world eva saw. eva gave her life to save the world and she was thrown into prison for it. but she never stopped loving the earth and caring so deeply about humanity, despite the way humanity treated her in return.

i hate the way some people characterize eva as emotionless or cold because she had no relationships or she was too harsh. eva has so much love, so much love, that she sacrificed her chance at a 'normal' life. she may not have sacrificed herself like the crew of the hail mary, but she gave her life for humanity, and i won't hear anything else. she isn't cold, or harsh. she is a passionate, hard-working, dedicated person.

and she had so much love to give.

Rocky love Grace voice statement.

I was listening to City Of Stars on repeat and kept thinking about aroace grace. I love grace who is happy without a relationship, who doesn't need any romantic relationship to be fulfilled, but... I also keep thinking about Grace being a hopeless romantic. Grace who keeps hearing about love love love and nothing else, Grace who keeps waiting for that one true love, Grace who was more in love with the idea of romance than his actual girlfriend. Grace who just doesn't understand why it doesn't come naturally to him, why he can't seem to have what everyone else wants, what he keeps dreaming of. Maybe he thought Stratt may be the one for him. Maybe the idea of a big swooping romance with Stratt makes him want to claw his eyes out. Grace doesn't know what he wants.

He wanted to experience romance so bad, to understand what it was like to fall in love, what everyone keeps talking about... and now he never will.

Grace mourning his one true love back on Earth, someone who doesn't exist and never will. Grace mourning something that was never his in the first place.

After everything they'd gone through together, all their history, their love spanning 6000 years, they literally vanished into dust.

Their "human versions" are not them. They met each other in their 50s? 60s? and will get like 30 or so years together.

No sticking together for centuries despite being from opposite factions in an eternal conflict, no developing their rivalry, friendship, and eventually love throughout the ages, no having each other's back despite the dangers of doing so, no bickering, no rescuing each other, no "you go too fast for me, Crowley", no 'our' Bentley, no "angel" as a pet name, NO THEM. At all.

This is my worst nightmare I'm going the fuck back to sleep.
