Now that destroying a world that doesnt exist is out, i figure id post my theories before watching it
First, i do think derlord didnt survive the last video. Their desesperation to write the book, warn avery that way, makes more sense if thats the only way/time they could reach them
My second theory/headcanon is that wifies video is Part of the story, diagetic:
• Derlord was the first (that we know of) but the next victim is not Avery, ,it was (suposed to be (but didnt, hence der not knowing/considering them) wifie (but they saved themself in time (the narrator shut ups/dissapeares after the lancturn scene))
• The Video Itself is The king in Yellow's play reaching for more readers, us.
It was not made by wifies yet it was
• And most importantly, i dont think the censors were put in place by Derlord (for many reasons i hc this, but: they would not censor their own name)
• That makes us the suposed next victims. It could be that:
a) our world/devices protected us for some reason, placed the censors as babyproofing
b) this video is the act 1, each censor carefuly placed by the play to lead us on in curiosity and mystigue, to make us think and wonder and spread about it, and the next video about avery will be the act 2 (we will be compeled by curiosity, much like derlord, to see)
c) we have been next, did see /that was the play, and are now 'mad'; but there are actual limitations irl to a Minecraft arg ^ this one is only if a part 2 doesnt happen — just a backup conclusion
Also, i think the warning means nothing for pure directional causes, turning right instead of left means nothing, cause the tunels and world itself twist and contort to siphon in players/victims. (After running from the gate derlord found themself at the beguining, despite that not being possible [btw that was my favorite part of the video. Shivers]) Turning left, metaphoricaly, would mean 'do the exact oposite of what i did' — straight up delecting the world, and forgetting about them. 'Do not be sucked in into the mystery, do not let it convince you to come search for it'.
In fact the entire "mystery buildings you could find the meaning/solution for" was constructed specificaly for derlord, to draw them in with their curiosity and arrogance in solving puzzles.
Avery's siphon would probably be diferent, it would not be the world itself that is being used to draw them in.. i dont know enough about their character to speculate what would work to entrall him
